Lovely video . Our farm shop Middle Farm near Lewes E. Sussex use to have their own cows and sell raw milk and cheese. But unfortunately the lock downs killed their business, very sad they had to get rid of their herd of cows.

I've been using farm shops for a good few months now for the majority of veg and all meat. More expensive but the quality is so much better. I pay using cash as well, so trying to keep these places going and push back against supermarkets. I try different places as I pass them during the working day if I need something. I used to ride down to Bury to the cafe there on the motorcycle.

Food is not just fuel, it's one of life's pleasures. Even if you don't enjoy cooking, there is (or should be) enjoyment of food and eating. It's a human "thing." Those who would control us seem determined to take the humanity from our lives. The organic produce looked lovely.

I've been drinking raw milk since I moved here in the mountains in central Italy from London UK over ten years ago and I'm the happiest and healthiest I've ever been. Also eating only organic foods either I grow myself or barter with local small organic farms near me.

I've been drinking"raw" milk all my life. Where I live currently there's a dairy farm nearby, and in the next village a farm shop for fruit and veg and a proper organic butcher. I'm a healthy eater and better for it. 2 years ago I was in hospital and the food, although excellent for a hospital, made me quite unwell.

New to the channel :) I use raw milk now, and i discovered the local milkman also delivers it. The company already prides themselves on being an organic milk farm and for 30 ish years with no pesticides etc.... So i am very happy with that especially as they do their own butter, kefir and other bits and pieces. Locally too Bluebell Organics farm which i have visited, they deliver organic fruit and veg and so their own apple juice which is gorgeous i love it. I have had raw milk for the last year and i am living to tell the tale 😄

I grew up on a farm with a number of animals including two milk cows. We drank raw milk, and made cheese, and butter. I often wondered if all the milk allergies come from the fact that the pasteurization process kills the enzymes that help us digest milk, as well as killing all the good bacteria, reducing the good value greatly.

Yet to try raw milk, but the best milk we've tried is from Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm Shop, Jeremy told me it was pasteurized but barely legal. It was extremely fresh and creamy. Apart from that the best milk by far is Waitrose Organic full milk - lumps of cream sometimes come out, and tastes amazing! We support farm shops where and when we can, and love the the produce.

We need to eat less but quality meat. Meat from local farms that isn’t pumped full of antibiotics and covered in boils, animals that are raised and slaughter humanely. That’s how we ate before ww2 and factory farming. People eat far too much rubbish meat from supermarkets. Our diet for thousands of years has been grains, pulses, fruit, veg and the occasional meat. Even our Hunter gatherers only really ate meat during the winter months as the food from the land was scarce, during spring, summer and autumn the majority of their diet is what we gathered. Meat and dairy is a vital, but part of a balanced diet and in moderation- and not pumped full of drugs and growth hormones. Hopefully when you get some land you can invest in a small flock of hens, cockerel for meat/eggs, and a goat with kid. Excellent sources of meat and dairy. Good luck with the dream I hope the two of you get there. It will be worth it.

Hello Edward! Thank you for your curiosity. As we aren't farmers we can't answer this in totality but I'm certain it has everything to do with how many fiery hoops they have to figuratively jump through to retain the organic label and the better quality of life that the animals have.
