You really need to visit 'The Church Inn' in Uppermill. Go up the road directly opposite the Abaco until you come to the turning on the left...it is sign posted. Own brewed ale.....Home cooked food..fantastic egg& proper bacon muffin....Real chips! Eat inside or out.....beautiful scenery....and live Peacocks!

I saw in another van vlog by “Kinging It”, they place a wig in the bed just in case someone breaks in they think someone is sleeping. They have traveled all around the world in their van and have never had a break in! So sad that has to be part of the van build plan! Great vlog today guys.

I live a 3 minute drive/20 min walk from uppermill, I go all the time! It’s crazy seeing you guys in places so familiar 😂❤

My Lemon Curd recipe actually says Lemon Butter on it. It has 12 eggs in it. I made a batch the other day and froze a bunch of jars. It is exceedingly easy to make. Stir everything in a pot until it reaches 170⁰ F and you're done. Absolutely loved this vlog with the old cities. Makes me want to visit the UK.

Bakewell looks lovely. Andy agrees with the Peroni, he says it's the nicest non alcoholic beer. Still doing our dry Jan. How many times did you say "moist"...worst word 🙈😂 Big hugs to you both x

Evening guys, it's been ages since we have been to Bakewell , not had Bakewell pudding but love Bakewell tart, my hubby loves fudge I'm not too keen. I like looking in different charity shops.hope you both had a great time in Bakewell, 👍

We were up in bakewell last Monday as we were on our way to a landmark trust at Alton station and had a bakewell pudding with custard !you had a tart not a pudding , it was delicious! I bought a large one for our pudding on our second day with custard yummy ! Those roads were scary as they were so narrow x great vlog guys x

The little village called ashford in the water is just 10mins walk out of bakewell. We always park their and walk in. Motherinlaws family are all from the bakewell area and theh have some great shops in the town, also you have to try oatcakes when in bakewell. If you get chance buxton is worth a view also

Ingham family do a lot of traveling in their van , slightly bigger than. Yours, they got broken into whilst in Spain or France on a lorry park and what the lorry drivers do is they wrap the seat belts around the door handle so no one gets in , just a thought x

Some say that Lemon curd is a little runnier and tarter than lemon cheese, while lemon cheese has a more buttery taste and consistency. Most agree though that the difference is so subtle very few would not be able to distinguish between the two.

Next to Yorkshire's Moors and Dales the Derbyshire Dales are a favourite of our family and I love Bakewell Pudding. Back when our kids were little we would camp or book a holiday cottage. We used to camp near Alton Towers and one time had a free concert from the lighthouse family and M people we could hear them from Alton Towers, that's showing my age. Good place to take Leigh's nieces though. Take care from lemon top land xx

I’ve only had Bakewell tart with ice topping but think I’d prefer it without the topping it looks yummy. Those views look stunning 🙂

Oh dear boys basic fail on the Bakewell pudding ( I am a Bakewell tart so I know the difference ) the original pudding was made by a kitchen maid in the Rutland Arms which is almost opposite the original Bakewell pudding shop, Bakewell tarts are not the same at all , the pudding is far superior next time check out the REAL thing.

Love going on these walks with you guy's, some lovely quaint places and coffee shop's .I really wouldn't fancy that drive home,I would be a nervous wreck especially in the dark😮❤Xx

Lemon curd v lemon cheese. Over the years I’ve used recipes for both (to use egg yolks up after making meringue) - very easy and better than anything you can buy. The ingredients and method are the same - sugar, butter, eggs and lemon juice/rind. So it must be a regional thing. My mother was originally from the north east and called it lemon cheese. We were raised in the Home Counties where it’s called lemon curd. I’ve never understood why some shops sell both.

The Bakewell pudding came first. It was made by mistake! The cook mixed the mixture wrong 😂 the tart came after 😊 & like Nick said, no icing! We bought the pudding version at Chatsworth farm shop, was a lot more stodgy than a tart but still delicious 😋

You should visit the Chatsworth Farm shop at Pilsley nr Bakewell. Think you’d love it especially at Christmas. I was so surprised by the last episode of Fool me Once. Did not see that coming!

As others have said being a local you went to the Bakewell tart shop the original is the Bakewell pudding shop a totally different dessert

I grew up in Oldham Know Uppermill well good pubs in there Woke up next day with a hangover back in the day pmsl, Then up on the Hills Chesterfield have up ever been to Chesterfield let us know if your ever going to Visit meet you for a Coffee all best till next Time David x

Oh I do love an iced bakewell tart but hubby prefers it without the icing. You guys go to some smashing places,all those quaint little streets and cafes look lovely. I really enjoyed 'Fool me once'...we've just finished 'Mr bates v the post office ' omg that's absolutely horrendous,I can't believe what all those poor people have gone through. It's worth a watch if you haven't seen it. 💙💙 xx

I have no opinion on the tart/pudding controversy, especially since I’m American, and pudding means something completely different here. But whatever it is, what you had looked tasty.
