The house painters who recreated the shot while working on the house are national heroes.

When I first went to my (now) fiancées home in Minneapolis one of the first things I had her take me to was this house. It was a beautiful summer day, just like in this video. This was 3 years ago, and it looked like it had been repainted between the time this video was shot and then. At first I was a little disappointed that there was nothing commemorating the iconic image of this incredible band, and then I saw it - in the window on the right, there was a picture about the size of a piece of printer paper - it was the cover of Let It Be. It made me so happy that whoever bought that home learned of (or knew) the significance of that rooftop to so many fans worldwide and put up a tribute. It was beautiful. We then drove to Duluth the next day and I walked the entirety of Bob Dylan Way. Those few days were the happiest I’ve had in a long time

I visited the house back in October 2019. Let it Be is one of the greatest American rock albums of all time. RIP Bob!

0 dislikes on this video. I love how practically anyone who knows anything about the Replacements is a die-hard fan.

Still remember the day that album came out! I was just out of high school and working a part-time job at the Sears store in Eden Prairie Center. Wandered down on my break to this little music store that was on the lower level of the mall and grabbed my copy - couldn’t wait until I got home to play it...!!! Back in that era, new albums were always released on the same day of the week and it was a big deal for music fans to hit the record store that day to see what new albums had just come out! Kind of miss that time when things were so much simpler and everything wasn’t being communicated to you 24/7.......😕

Did you read Trouble Boys? Great bio, but incredibly sad at times - especially when talking about Bob.

Getting on a rooftop and calling an album Let it Be? Brash. And AWESOME! The Beatles were still an open wound for me back then. But the Punk attitude of the Replacements and the music they made put a smile on my face everytime I heard 'em. For the record Amy: I STILL HATE YOUR F'N ANSWERING MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!! -mike😣😥😉😎

Just woke up this morning (5/29/20) and turned on the morning news. I have no idea what drew me to this video last night, but have come to realize how close this house is to the present civil unrest occurring in Minneapolis. The nation's heart is with your community. SAVE THE WORLD: VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT IN 2020!!!!!!!!!!

I've been wearing that shirt for, oh, I don't know, fucking forever. Amazing to see where this legendary photo was shot. One of the five most important American rock bands of all time. Thanks for this and MATS.

Paul early on said he was not colored impressed by Nirvana and one time Kurt and Paul meet in an elevator and no words were spoken. Paul said he was dying to be someplace else and that Kurt was just dying to be dying.

Let it be was my introduction to the replacements. I would listen to this on cassette in my room, 16 yrs. old. I liked Hootenanny, but it didn't hit me like this album, and the ones after did.

leatherfaced: Prince (R.i.P.) need not feel jealous -- just as Detroit was home to both Motown soul and proto-punks MC-5 and The Stooges; so, too, is the Mini Apple (and the wider Twin Cities' scene -- Hüsker Dü being from St. Paul, for example) big enough a musical environment to have been home to both Prince and The Mats.

If I were forced to have a romantic relationship with a man, I'd want that man to be Tommy Stinson. He's incredibly likeable. And I think he'd be a thoughtful lover.
