Many thanks and welcome to the family! It’s possible. Once you put the necessary preparations in place before moving and thriving here is possible. If you would like to chat please send an email to the address on the channel banner.

I have dumb question I was wondering will your children go to university in Ghana or in Europe and will they be able to make a good living in Ghana I ask that because where I used to work there was a guy from Ghana who told me me there were no opportunities there which I don't believe

It’s not a dumb question, but a great one! If they want to study abroad they can. It’s their choice, but it’s not a success guarantee. I wouldn’t encourage them since they can pursue their education online from the best universities. In this digital age location is irrelevant. What matters is having the relevant skillsets to solve problems and you can work from anywhere in the world with internet access. To be honest it’s very tough for many graduates here. Supply exceeds demand. The system produces more job seekers and less entrepreneurs. The jobs are not there or they are less paid which makes it tough for some of them. The problem I see is the mindset. People should equip themselves with skills to work online or remotely for companies. My motto is: Live local, Earn Global:)

As a Ghana born who lives abroad I must admit I feel very uncomfortable with the word "diasporans". To me it means a distinction, creating a me( someone from abroad) vrs them (Ghanaians born, bred and live in Ghana) connotation which can be seen as negative. This is because to me it creates an impression by virtue of living abroad we somehow better those those who didn't travel

Thanks for watching and sharing your concern. Personally I’m very local and spend time within my community. I use it just for reference and nothing me. It doesn’t create any barrier between me and the locals. When you come to Ghana from abroad they call you “Borga”:) Even though I tell them my name they still call me”Borga” and it doesn’t hinder our connections.
