Brooks, this is a great idea ! You guys should do a lot more videos of Zoo's , Amusement Parks and interesting off road attractions. It breaks up the everyday monopoly.

Love watching your travel videos. If I might make a suggestion - it's been a while since you've been out to Southern California and I know how much Elisha loves Halloween, so I'd like to suggest that you make a trip out here in the last half of September or the month of October. We have the oldest (and first) amusement park Halloween themed event in Buena Park (just a few miles from Disneyland). Usually the park is Knott's Berry Farm, but during the Halloween season, it is called Knott's Scary Farm or Knott's Halloween Haunt. They have been doing it now for 50 years (this year will be 51). It has a bunch of mazes, themed areas with roving monsters, live shows, and themed foods. I've been going to it at least once a year for the last 30 years. It is so much fun. Unlike Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, the mazes are not based on horror movies or shows. So, you won't be lost if you haven't seen a particular movie. The story of each of Knott's mazes is pretty easy to figure out. And since you have a very successful KZfaq channel, you might be able to get media passes for free or discounted entry (but that would probably be opening night). The dates haven't been announced yet, but last year the first night was September 21st. I'd recommend you get in touch with Knott's guest relations soon if that is something you'd like to do. There are a bunch of videos on KZfaq from the last few years you can check out to see if it might be something you'd like to try out, or if it is too intense. Too me, it's not as terrifying as some of the ones you'd see on the Travel Channel. But even sitting back and watching people getting scared by the monsters can be fun. And it's not very far from Golf 'n' Stuff in Norwalk, which has 3 mini golf courses and was where they filmed a couple of scenes from the original "Karate Kid" movie.

Watching you walk under that bridge at the beginning of the video brought back so many memories of trips to this zoo as a kid back in the 80's. Thanks for the nostalgia blast.

I love when you can get close to the animals. One of the zoos in our area has lots of enclosures where you can get really close to the animals, plus lots of interactive experiences. One of my best birthday gifts ever was a private VIP tour of the tiger area that my husband got for me.

"Kevin" 🤣🤣🤣 If you get the chance, the Magnificent Macaws show at Indianapolis Zoo and the Indiana State Museum both at White River State Park. Then while you're in town there are six mini/putt-putt golf courses boasting two 18 holes each with one of them being at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. But since you've been up north Check out Chicago boasting Brookfield Zoo & Lincoln Park Zoo, Six Flags Over Great America, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Museum of Science & Industry, Navy Pier (right 0n Lake Michigan) and at least 19+ mini/putt-putt courses.

If you ever get near Cincinnati, Ohio we have a Zoo & you need to go see Miss Fiona and her little brother Fritz & their mom & dad our Hippos. Also in northern Kentucky just across the Ohio River has the Newport Aquarium.

The Milwaukee zoo is one of the better zoos in the Midwest and Eastern US. It's no where near the San Diego Zoo, but it's a extremely beautiful zoo. I'm glad you got to see it. I haven't been there in decades now. I moved from Milwaukee in 2000. Before that I took care of my family when they were ill. They passed in 96 and 98. Take care and I hope you can return to the Zoo again. Milwaukee had some really fun Mini-Golfing spots. My Dad and I used to love to play Mini-Golf ⛳. Take care and God Bless.

Glad you were able to visit. The Milwaukee County Zoo has been ranked as one of the better ones in the country. Hope you got to try Kopps - my personal favorite (although Leon's and Oscars are pretty good as well). Next time you're in town, you should take an excursion to the Domes for a unique experience - massive Horticultural environments filled with plants and flowers from around the world.

I was born and raised in Milwaukee during the 70's. I remember our trips to the zoo, and they were always a great experience. Back in the mid 70's things were so much different. They'd have animals out on display. One "bad" time they were showing people a predatory cat. It was younger, not full grown, but still for a kid it was intimidating. I don't know or remember exactly how this all happened but a dog got loose and ran up near the cat's showing and all I remember next is the cat lunging forward, almost like a jump, hitting me knocking me backwards onto my butt. I had a scratch or two on me, but I was fine. The lady kept control of the cat, how?I can't imagine. Everyone always asks, did your parents sue? No they didn't. I wasn't physically hurt. Scared the heck out of me though. I still loved the zoo and we went back many times. The Chimpanzees and Orangutans were always my favorites.

Favorite animal of all time is one that doesn't kill me LOL. Besides that it might have to be the Snow Tiger. Have you ever looked up what animal you are on the Chinese Calendar? I'm a Sheep / Ram. Just look up your birth year to find out.

Btw, Geese can be mean! Heck, apperently when my dad was a kid, they had a pet goose.... lets just say... good at guarding. Like Guard dogs... eh, but the term of goose guarding... oh yeah. Hippos look gentle... definetly not. That cheetah... I think it was close to feeding time or play time, pacing back and forth like that can mean one of those... or maybe just showing off and being interested in these Humans that are protected by this see through wall. Anyways, happy you had a good time.

Good thing you guys went to the Milwaukee County Zoo. It's my favorite zoo, in my opinion. There's a lot there. I haven't been there in years, but it's still an amazing place. I'm not too keen on the primates, I do enjoy the birds, reptile house, and the African animal exhibits. Glad you had a great time there.

Excellent look at a fairly traditional rural zoo. You perfectly presented the reason I prefer the 'safari-style' parks, including WDW's Animal Kingdom. Closest to us is San Diego's Wild Animal Park... I'm betting both of you would love that as well. Thanks!

One thing I found out by accident is that an armadillo's eye sight is pretty poor. A few of the many times that I encountered them in the wild all I had to do is stand still and they walked right up to me like they didn't even know I was there. One time they literally walked right over my feet and yes they literally stepped on my feet. Once I moved my feet a little and they saw the movement, that's when they took off like a bat out of hell.
