Fun fact: The reason Ember and Wade were able to touch without hurting each other is because of something known as the Leidenfrost effect. It's when water like Wade touches a hot surface like Ember and a layer of steam is created like the one you see when they first touch, which acts as a barrier between them, preventing either of them from hurting the other.

For reference: fire is based on Asians since the director said they're supposed to be based on his own experiences, and he's Korean. Plus, Ember's voice actress is Chinese. Water is probably a reference to the "privileged white" community, but it gets confusing since Wade's voice actor is black.

My fav movie/book trope use to be mysterious scary closed off men who are actually soft but now, it’s sensitive golden retriever men who create a safe space for their hyper vigilant, survivalist s/o to let their guard down and still feel safe. Brb crying, shitting, throwing up.

One of my favorite parts of this movie is the look on Wade’s face when is uncle tells Ember that she speaks so eloquently lmao He is so incredulous like, “Uncle can you not fuck this up for me?”

This movie was surprisingly good. I remember seeing the trailers for it and thinking it was going to be terrible. But its turned into a sleeper hit. Disney's advertising department definitely dropped the ball on this one.

This movie was a flop in the box office. Disney is destroying pixar, Marvel and especially Lucas films. I hope that Nelson Pelts wins the proxy battle. That's currently going on in Disney.

@moneylover318 People have their own reasons why they did not go see it and word-of-mouth is one of them. My reasons is because how Disney ruined Lucas films. Plus they are starting to ruin Marvel.
