TN being the role model for development over the years where we get 28 paise for every one rupee we pay to the union government. If the above-mentioned developments are true, then it's because the Dravidian government has been performing well for decades. Rather than adopting this model as an example to develop the country, you bring the worst possible option here and force us to implement is rather ridiculous. Coimbatore is the best city in TN though smaller than chennai. But the rulers so far hv denied coimbatore deliberately the development it deserves and also neglected it despite coimbatore's state of the art technology experts and industrialists. These rulers developed roads and infra in other cities but not coimbatore. Coimbatore does not even have a proper 4-6 lane roads to palladam, metupalayam, satyamangalam(single road despite huge traffic), also internal roads at some places are horrible. Infact rulers hv tried to stop coimbatore Development for some reason. Now with Modi at the centre, coimbatore has started getting 4 lanes and flyovers and metros. Not developing a city like coimbatore by state is a crime. With smart city project along with siruthuli private citizen grp, the city looks beautiful around pond areas. Earlier around 10 yrs back it was filth all around. Now it looks clean and brings some confidence. Atleast we need Annamalai to make coimbatore strong in infra, technology,industries and best in cleanlines.

In the interview, one North Indian gentleman says he will close his eyes and vote for BJP anytime. So, this once again proves that BJP is an outside North Indian party. Secondly, these gentleman are settled in Coimbatore from other states for more than a decade. They can not claim that there is no development here. Because, people migrate to a more developed state and not vice versa. Also, it is without statistical evidence that one gentleman claims that developmental pace in UP and Gujarat is more than TN. In all the developmental indices like Infant Mortality Rate, Maternal Mortality Rate, Gross Enrollment Ratio, literacy level, Urbanization, poverty rate, per Capita Income, health care etc., TN is in far better position than these States. It is well proved just by seeing how the Union budget is divided among states. For example, TN gives 1 Re as tax and gets back 29 paise, while UP gives 1 Re and gets back Rs 2.73. That means, tax money is taken from a well off state like TN and given to poorer state like UP. As an analogy with European Union, it is like getting money from Germany to sustain the crippling economy of Greece, and then claiming in Germany about the fast pace of development of Greece. It will be a childish claim out of ignorance.

I'm from Coimbatore, and I've noticed that here people are saying not to ask North Indians but to ask South Indians instead. As a Tamilian and a South Indian, I've observed the reality on the ground. Many families have come forward to see Annamalai during his campaign, and none of them have a political background. They are all Tamils and don't speak Hindi. Those who are saying he's not going to win should come to Coimbatore and see the reality for themselves.

I am from Coimbatore. People here support mainly Dravidian parties like DMK and AIADMK, but if not for Annamalai, BJP would have no chance. To be honest, people hate BJP here in Tamil Nadu. I think this time BJP has slight edge here in Coimbatore solely because of Annamalai. I can't say the same about rest of Tamil Nadu. My guess is max 2 seats for BJP and 4 seats for NDA in Tamil Nadu since PMK might gets 1 or 2 seats. It will take at least 10 years for BJP to become a dominant party here. All will depend on Vijay's entry in 2026. If he is successful, then it will take even longer for BJP.
