We Weld in the Corvette Rear Suspension!

This past weekend right after Christmas the weather was truly splendid outside. A nice 55 degree December afternoon Bruce and I got into gear with the rear suspension. The C10 frame was cut and the C5 rear suspension welded in!

I wanted to do this in an FJ 85 land cruiser. The idea was to take a turbo supra motor and mount behind driver with a doghouse like a van. I wanted to build all tube frame front end and make a long travel mid engine prerunner. It would have amazing CG for excellent launches

Z06 and C7 frames are aluminum.

I really appreciate your response! I thought c10 frame was steel? And I’m wondering how u weld up the two sections being different metals? Any response greatly appreciated. Thank you !

@@CaptainCurt07 he was saying that C6 frames are steel unless they are a Z06. So both frames that they are welding together are steel.
