I don’t call this vision. When most cars nowadays are now electric. Nigeria need electricity that’s what the billions should have been invested on to be honest. Stable electricity in country will bring more foreign investors. All the money borrowed from the central bank will never be relayed. We all know that all the political elites have stakes in this. The refinery is for the benefits of some elites not Nigerians. The same way Nigerians are paying more for cement than other countries.

Nope. He should build a new one from scratch. He was lucky that they frustrated his efforts in one of the refineries he bought. It's a top management principle. When you gave done a lot of re-engineering and it still does not work. Better to obliterate and start from scratch

If one looks at his refinery model, it would be a bad idea. Better he does his own and leaves Ajaokuta to the government. If he had done the same to Portharcourt Refinery, the 650m capacity refinery would not have come up and that deal then was even laid with a lot of complications before another government cancelled it

For me, I think it's better Dangote or anyone with capacity does it, I'm referring to steel and even power if possible because let's look at our peculiar situation in Nigeria, what is the government really doing that is working out efficiently and giving the needed results? Almost nothing. And as for the things that government isn't doing, nobody else is doing it, so, we have nothing to lose if people like Dangote comes in to do them, so, let us really forget about whether Dangote is a good man or his business model is good or not, we need what we can get from him

They won't because they all have personal interest or stakes with the Dangote group. The man is just using the power of monopoly vested on him by the powers that be because they are benefiting from him. He has no better competitors. Give other Nigerian business men the same level playing ground like Dangote you will see that in no distant time a lot of products in the market that he is most in control of their price will fall and will be affordable by average Nigerians without stress. You think there are no Nigerian business men that can singlehandedly build ten times that his refinery but the license will not be given to them, and other businesses like cement etc. That's the monopoly he is enjoying.

We so much herald this "help" Dangote receives or benefits from the government. How many others have been able to scale with the quantum of help they got and notwithstanding nothing to show forth. A lot of times, we discount the sheer vision and the incredible character of Aliko. Go get another indistrialist willing to stake his balls on the line to put steel to work in Africa. That's the next challenge. None will show forth until Aliko does. When the history of Africa is written, Aliko will always take a front seat. Do you want it to take to raise money to embark on a project of this magnitude? And not to even go the project finance route, but placing it on Dangote's balance sheet. Let's give praise to whom it's due. I pray that God elongates Aliko's life so he can live to see Nigeria and West Africa produce the steel it consumes.
