Don't apologise for drinking Brazilian soda in Australia - one of the joys of Australia is how multicultural it is. Being able to have an English breakfast, a Brazilian lunch and a Thai or Italian dinner is a very Australian thing!

@@jupupable4101 Noosa is insanely overrun and busy now. Absolutely every bit of gorgeous nature is ruined by the crowds. Yes, it's a phenomenal place to swim and surf...if you can even get a carpark in Noosa!! Very expensive now too, the people that either live or holiday in Noosa are very well-off. I live in Brisbane and will maybe do a day trip to surf in Tea Tree Bay if I feel brave enough to face the crowds. It feels busier than Byron Bay at times.

Many of the mountains and towns around Australia are indigenous words! Some are a bit hard to pronounce but it’s pretty cool to go to a historical mountain where people so long ago would’ve watched the same sunset. As an aboriginal person thank you for taking the educational comments seriously and using the correct terminology! Much love

You can get to learn their prounciations just by thinking of sounds for some of them, because often the spellings come from explorers who wrote it as they thought rather than a standardised thing (and we haven't fixed it yet). There are a lot of different languages, but yes, it can be better to hear them said before reading the transliteration Eg Mouheeneeneener = Muwinina

I am loving your vids and I am glad your are enjoying our country. I am very proud to be called an Aussie but if you want to see how fierce our interstate rivarly is just watch the Rugby match on tonight, I was born in NSW... if you watch it you will see what I mean... Tia I am glad that you are getting into open spaces that allows your body and mind to calm down, that is also one of the reasons I moved to Canberra as I know the feeling. Cities are a necessity that I tolerate but it is the Outback that feeds my soul.

Thanks for visiting! It's a great place, I've lived here for years, Brisbane is basically in the sweet spot in Australia for weather, laid-back lifestyle, enough amenities and cultural events, relatively affordable housing, while still having decent job opportunities. The main thing that I think that needs a lot of improvement is better public transport, especially rail (ideally some underground metro rail Ines), but there is a lot of advocacy pushing public and active transport, and at least some projects are in construction at the moment.

Really enjoying your travels! Just a quick word re the harsher sun in Australia: The elliptical orbit of the Earth and our axial tilt combine to place the Southern Hemisphere closer to the sun during its summer months than the Northern Hemisphere. Coupled with our clearer atmospheric conditions, this means that Australians are exposed to up to 15% more UV than Europeans. There is of course a thinner ozone layer above Antarctica but it has less to do with that & more to do with our position in the Southern Hemisphere.✌🏼
@stephengentle2815
@stephengentle2815 Жыл бұрын
It's true - although people in the Northern Hemisphere are going to have to become more sun-smart, since pollution controls are starting to make some effect. International agreements to limit sulphur content in shipping fuel over the last few years being a big one - the sulphur dioxide pollution that sulphur created did shield some UV, and removing it has probably already brought the Northern Hemisphere a couple of percentage points closer (in the amount UV that gets to the ground) to us down South.

Hope you had a nice time in Brissy. It really is a lovely relaxed city with a fantastic outdoor vibe. Did you hike Mt Coot-tha to check out the view?. The weather in winter is just perfection. Nothing better than enjoying a great coffee outside on a sunny winters day. I was hoping you would check out the architecture of the gorgeous “queenslander homes”. Also surprised when people by pass Stradbroke island or Moreton Island. It’s just stunning and a world heritage listed marine park. Ps understand the anxiety. I visited New York in 2016 and it was so hard to get out there everyday with so many people. I felt like I was having a panic attack every time I left my hotel room.

If you are going to Darwin, I have a tip for you. Every Thursday evening there is a sunset market at Mindil beach which is a must see. The food stalls are terrific. The tip is regarding the famous Darwin sunsets. Tourists having heard about the famous Darwin sunsets will watch the sun set into the sea and as soon as they see it set they turn around and leave as they have seen the sunset. NO! The actual show starts AFTER the sun has set. For the next 45 minutes to an hour you will see a beautiful sky with constantly changing colours that is even more spectacular if there have been recent bushfires as the smoke particles refract the sunlight. We lived in Darwin for 30 years and our Mindil market routine used to be to take a picnic table and camping chairs with a nice bottle of wine, buy food from the food trucks and enjoy the changing colours of the sky after sunset over dinner.

Loving watching the trip guys. I saw a lot of people commenting on missing things along the NSW coast. Obviously if you only have a certain amount of time or money (or both) you can’t see everything. It seems like you are doing capital city’s and secondary touristy spots, which is good for people to see, and leaves you so much to see for your next trip. Just saying, you did miss one of the main “big things” with the Big Pineapple at Nambour

You two are great, so respectful to our country and you're visiting the out of the way places that are the essence of Australia. Really good video footage and dialog, I'm so happy you guys have enjoyed your experiences here. I watch quite a few videos of Americans visiting our country and the topics range around what's different at Maccas to people going bare foot at the supermarket (we do that) for crying out loud, thankyou for coming😊

Glad you are having a good time, and getting to relax in nature. Don't worry Tia, everyone has issues they have to deal with. Cities can be quite stressful. :-) Not sure where you are now, or if you are heading to Cairns or going inland before then. if you do go to Cairns, the esplanade water area is nice and free. But the waterfalls around the atherton tablelands are great to get away from the crowds. (weekdays) you can swim at some of the waterfalls. I think you mentioned somewhere that you are not doing Far North QLD (FNQ) this trip.. so maybe something for another time.

Watching your videos of Australia, is making remember what we have here and what we sometimes take for granted. That's definitely one thing I'm very appreciative of in Australia - that we have this room the breathe and get away from the cities if we need to.

Another great video! You guys are great - love your authenticity, and watching your travel adventures. Keep up the good work! BTW - I didn’t think I would be interested in so many VLOGs devoted to Australia, but I’m really enjoying them and now aspire to visit one day.

Loving this series and especially the very high quality videography. I wish you had dropped in to Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast, it's a stunner, but if you stopped everywhere you would be here for 2 years!

Hi guys, I live in Sydney and started watching when you were in Melbourne! I developed panic disorder and agoraphobia coming out of lockdowns so I know exactly how you feel in crowds Tia! Thank you for sharing your experience, it means a lot to know that other people (who are super cool) also struggle with anxiety 😊😊
