Next time ask how many minutes the bus was suppose to stop. U should know by now if u are not sure about ANYTHING in Malaysia, all u have to do is just ask :)

Your were lucky .... honestly not all drivers will do that . But next time before going anywhere when the bus stops for a toilet break do ask what time he will be leaving. That will be helpful if he notice that your are not local ❤

I never took bus (to Penang or other northern states) after ETS train existed in 2010. Faster, no traffic jammed, have cafeteria, have charging socket & got toilet inside. But must buy ticket earlier from online apps just like buy flight ticket online.

Perhaps it's best for you to drive yourself/yourselves, including when you go to other Malaysia states. This way you have extra freedom such as what time to start driving, extra time to rest/eat/go toilet/etc.

They need a license to drive and bus is the cheapest transportation. Don't forget, they are not locals.
