It's weird because it seems like she has insane invulnerability but she is completely weak since a regular dude was able to throw her around like a ragdoll on that alleyway scene.

@@ISavant I wouldn't say "far far far more." The entire premise of the show is calling out celebrity worship and pop culture stuff. Which is 90% left leaning. They've also called out the blatant, hollow, surface level virtue signaling companies do, which again is mostly a left side thing. It's not surprising Hollywood and amazon would paint the right as the bad guys though. Kinda like they've social engineered society into thinking rural folks are cannibals and slashers.

Watch Christopher Reeve's superman, specifically the scene where he quickly switched from Clark to Superman and back with Lois in the next room, he did a masterful (and probably yet unsurpassed) job at showing how they could look, sound, and act like completely different characters.

On the "real world references" bit: in the comics version of The Boys, the Seven were sent to stop 9/11. They immediately realized they didn't know what they were doing, panicked, and (if I recall correctly) made it even worse. By referencing messed-up things that still happened in that world, they make it feel real and relatable, yes, but they also show that, in their universe, superheroes have made nothing better.

The timing doesn't add up for the Smashmouth reference to be a homage to the deceased singer. They filmed Aug 22 - Jan 23. The singer died in Sep 23. So unless the retroactively went back to include scenes and music with him in I think it's just a coincidence.

Since you already mentioned it : For Eric Kripke, ‘The Boys’ Was Always About Trumpism As the showrunner grows his darkly comic satire into a franchise - and spoofs a certain trial and presidential election in the new season - he says he’s fine losing the viewers who just figured out his social agenda: “Go watch something else.” But i think, if i had no other option, i would rather vote for Vicky Neuman instead of Homelander (aka Trump), since whatever her agenda is, at least she is not so open fascist.

I wonder who the woman is in the multiple homelander dreams. She's only there for like 3 frames. It seems like the younger version of the same lady in his dreams in episode 3. My guess is that's going to be his mother, that maybe they forcibly took her eggs or put the eggs in her.

I also think Kate Mara is a great actress, worth noting that she comes from a combination of families that own most of the NY Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers. She's the granddaughter of billionaires on both sides of her family. So I feel like she'll be ok.

You and I were on the same wavelength for the logic for the 3 Bodies & Forensics. Like in examining them, if a Speedster is moving the bodies, the blood in their body will be like it went through a giant centrifuge, the forensics would be like "WTF" And like you said, ESPECIALLY after a fight breaks out there'd be Cameras from many many angles.

The ‘statistically all democracies fail’ is such a dumb line cosplaying as intelligent that it really highlights the problem with writers who are definitely not the smartest people in the world trying to write someone who is. (Statistically ALL forms of government fail, but also there haven’t been enough historical established democracies - that have been around long enough to build up some institutional protections - for it to even mean much anyway.)

I agree and was dismayed by the statement. Until Sage, in her attempt to placate Homelander, described a plan that led Homelander to compare himself to Caesar. I think Sage is setting up Homelander to be destroyed like Caesar was by his own arrogance. It reminds me of Trump reportedly saying he wanted "his" Generals to treat him like Hitler's Generals, and needing to be reminded that Hitler's Generals tried to kill him. I'm interested in seeing how this season plays out. Sage is definitely the most interesting character so far this season to me.
