We were Warned. An Epic Day On the Ruby Falls Trail

Жыл бұрынEpic...An overly used word to describe something that creates a lasting impression. An unforgettable memory causing a new perspective on life.
To say this day, this trail, the views, and the people were Epic can't even begin to describe this day. Epic needs some kind of modifier to even come close to describing the experience, and I just don't have the words to improve on epic. To me, This was the day that all other days of my life will be compared to. This is Ruby falls.
The day was amazing. It was t shirt weather in the snow and the sun was shining bright.. the snow was deep and challenging with a sand like texture when you broke through the crust. There was open water in spots, but not yet too deep to cross and then there was the frozen falls, in an aqua blue, surrounded like a horseshoe with huge snow capped mountains. What else could one ask for?

It was a bucket list trip, and definitely didn't disappoint. We are going back when the snow is gone and the Forest fire ban is over

Haha, you noticed the dogs lack of enthusiasm, huh? He was actually pretty cool, and chill. Probably just watching and laughing internally at the Sh!tshow going on at that point lol Thanks a bunch for the love on the trail and the video. We're thrilled you enjoyed it! yea it was pretty amazing. I will definately be going this summer. the only thing that may hinder it is if the wildfires are still raging

Yes it is. It made for a super long day, but in the end it was entertaining, and a couple of us who had never seen the falls got in to see them. It was AMAZING.

Seems very stressful. I’d imagine there’s many other way to capture this beauty without the raw stress and unknown barriers to entry.

Its not stressful unless you make it stressful. Its about being out in nature, if we make it great, if not, I will go back again and try

HAHA , That's a big NOPE! I got rid of this jeep once, and regretted it, so I will most likely be buried with it, even if I have to convert it to run on alcohol.

Use a stiff hitch and link 3 rigs too push down trail

That seems like a recipe for more carnage, especially with so many people that had not wheeled together before. A lot of coordination probably would have been needed so it didnt fold up between the rigs

As you can see, The pace isnt very fast. Living in Ft. Mac but travel south in Alberta all the time because that is where the best trails are @@Ktm083-pu9lj

yea it is alot easier when it has melted, and the water drops. apparently there is a different way in that im told will make you pucker. you should come out and do a couple trails😋
