Thanks to you and your review, I have found the knife I needed and at a price I can afford. I drive an 18 wheeler, and get into some shady areas. No, I don't frequent bars , do drugs, or have anything to do with low life's. However, I sometimes have to crash in my sleeper in parts of cities I otherwise would never frequent...like Newark,NJ, Chicago,Gary,Ind. I've considered a handgun , but in some jurisdictions I might be persecuted for doing what previous generations thought was common sense if attacked. A knife is a bit more controllable for protection in my cab. Thanks! JA

This is the new and larger version of the Cold Steel Shanghai Shadow, it is called the Shanghai Warrior. It does very well against the bottles, despite daggers not being ideal for that type of trick cutting. Current price is around $35 for this large ring dagger, which is a pretty good deal, see links in the text description box :]

+WeAllJuggleKnives the shadow is made with 1055 carbon Steel, the longer Warrior is made with sk-5 high carbon Steel...im assuming the sk-5 is an upgrade?

I'm in the market for a hog knife. I'm inexperienced, but I need feedback from someone who knows a lot more about knives than I do. Assuming you have stabbed a lot of stuff and tested blades etc. Do you feel the Shanghai Warrior would make for a good pig sticker? Throw out some other options for me too so I may check them out. I saw a review on that Elk Ridge Dagger you did on your other channel, it looks sweet. I'd buy it all if I could.

+upnorth prepper This knife came sharp already, so I didn't sharpen it any. But, I use a Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpener on big blades and machetes, if they need it.
