It’s way more poverty in the Philippines than wealth same thing like here in America. The provinces and back streets in the Philippines are completely ignored by the Philippines government and the provinces in the Philippines are completely disconnected from there cities. In other words most development in the Philippines will mainly happen in the metro areas one of the main reasons why this is because most local people in the provinces will not approve of all changers that they will possibly be making. And I don’t blame them the metro areas in the Philippines is filled with overpriced properties and corporate businesses now😢.And there pushing out more local people back into the province areas. Most local people that work in the cities in the Philippines they do not live in the cities because they cannot afford to.

Half of the area that you filmed used to be slums. The gov't relocated them to projects. They'll work on the rest in the coming months. Corruption and capitalism at its best, unfortunately.

Capitalism has its problems agreed, but the corruption of your average barangay fatcat bureaucrats sitting on their little thrones who are your real enemy not capitalism. I really wish more of you would see that. Capitalism as a concept is supposed to empower YOU! The average Filipino with 16 hours in a day to spend as you choose, either wasting your life on tik tok and games, or putting 4-hours of effort per day into mastering something that someone will eventually PAY YOU TO DO FOR THEM because they didn’t. That’s capitalism - VALUE. What VALUE do you provide? If only more Filipinos understood how strong and competent they truly are, and that even though they are strong and competent they still have to put in their 10,000 hours into something to become a master and get paid. Don’t they understand once they put in 10,000 hours into a skill they become unstoppable? So why don’t they? You don’t need a weak-ass foreigner, YOU can provide value in the market yourself!! ARRGH!! My ultimate passion is to inspire more Filipinos to use their phones and youth to become masters in something - they truly are some of the strongest most capable people I’ve ever met in my life.

@@Dennyalyza You are wasting your time pointing out poverty here.. I have been living here over 20 years.. They love it,, they enjoy it and they wont change it,,,, UNLESS someone does it for them.. There is a sense of WEIRDNESS about the Philippines.. But I love it... Can't explain why..

Have you been to the slums of India, Brazil and other African nations? Even the US and Japan have their problems with poverty and homelessness. What you're seeing outside your hotel are not slums. These houses are middle to mid-low income houses. They are not slums. Have you seen San Francisco and New York's homeless encampments with urine, feces and garbage litered all over its streets? What you took videos of outside your hotel window is a lot better than the places I mentioned. There is poverty in all countries of the world. The Philippines may not be perfect but we're doing just fine than most countries hit hard by poverty and government mismanagement. No need to be condescending to the country who welcomed you.

The Philippines is one of the poorest countries in the world. I am not making judgement I am just talking about what I see. Why are you offended?

@@Dennyalyzalol...pH is an upper middle income country based on world bank. Meaning it's affluent enough than most developing countries on earth. Those houses are not slums..it's a modest working class residential areas..they OWNED their houses legally.. pH poverty rate as of today is just below 16% & majority are middle class Research first..you seems so ignorant. You must STUDY first before vlogging.. Your vlog is a RED FLAG for filipinos

That is EXACTLY what I say also.. POVERTY is a CHOICE.. If the population wish to live as dogs and pigs compared to the rest of the democratic countries, who is to stop them.. CHOICES are the way to go.... SPREAD DA WORD..

The world of rich and the world of the poor were not meeting at their point. Maybe the middle class were together someday with the rich or middle class were together someday too with the poor. It depends to the destination. That the reality of life.
