LGamerr I know this is about 7 months late, but the reason why the sky looks so good is because they use actual pictures as the skybox. They just make sure that the land and stuff is hidden below the map, so you can't see that.

yeah, most fps games do that, the only difference is that they didn't put a shit blue filter over it, and paint in extra clouds. also if u have ever played some free to play fps games on pc like Global Strike, survarium, etc, u can se the edges of the box, and it looks really bad lol ESPECIALLY in Global Strike (I'm not surprised though, the game was made to rip off CS)

It's a fairly good shotgun. I fired 15 rounds from one of those shotguns and only sent it back 15 times. You really save ammo at the range.

+Kordell Pierce That's because it's full auto in the campaign, but they decided to make it 3 round burst in multiplayer. My guess is that they didn't add a joint to control the switch so it stayed on auto.

Well, spending time to make an animation requires the knowledge on how the wearing should function and what not, and you need to work on making the animation itself and have it be realistic, so it is safe to say they deserve credit for making something good. Although I'm not a fan of the game, I really like its reloading animations.

Yep. I will say that I prefer the animations in BO2 though as they generally feelt more consistant in terms of quality. In ghosts you have some great animations and some meh, but I suppose that also depends on your taste. I'm also not really a fan of the new gun- bobbing which IMO feels nowhere near as smooth as in the earlier games ( although few shooters get the bobbing or sprinting right ) and I'm glad Sledgehammer went with that style instead of this one. And I'll admit right of the bat that I'm insanely nitpicky.

I think Ghost is the parallel between the old, simple, and quick animations, and the more modern realistic ones. Such as the Vector, the clip-press actually flicks as he presses upon it, which wasn’t really seen in other CoD games. It was more pull back a lever or “press” a 2d model lol

My problem was how slow the soldier runs, and how gosh darn terrible the ping was. You end up dying in the enemies screen faster then in yours, so it ends up making it look like you die in ken shot on your screen, and you hardly have time to react. I also hated the stupid SAT-COM requiring two to be up at once to be like the UAV. Kill streaks are also mildly underpowered, and the expensive ones are literally almost impossible to take down without lock-on launchers. I also hated the large maps. They seem like they'd work for AW, not for Ghosts. I also dreaded the color pallette, it is almost impossible to spot an enemy, especially in the ghillie suit. If those had not been in the game it could've been amazing.

What doesnt make sense is that the MTAR-X is classified as a sub machine gun while it doesnt use a pistol round. The MTAR-X is basicly a TAR21. Which uses the 5.56x45 mm NATO round. That is Not a pistol round. There fore it shouldnt be considered a sub machine gun but an assault rifle. Cod logic again.

Notice how the fp6 reload is way cooler than most in other games? Instead of repeating the same animation over and over you actually have your guy hold the exact amount of ammo you're gonna into the gun

No, no it's not. They're perfectly able to show the bolts locking open on pistols, and some rifles, so no it is not an engine limitation that they're too lazy to animate the LMG belts emptying.

Would you rather have a whole bullet belt being emptied in one shot? Take a look at Browing LMG in World at War. You have the "last" bullet left while you have the whole bullet belt on your hands. You press fire button. Poof. The bullet belt is gone. The engine doesn't support multiple animations for multiple ammo states and if they implemented it, this would exceed the maximum loaded animation limit that is in the game. It's the 1999 oldass Quake 3 engine, get over it.

Ray Z I'm afraid it actually does, look at Black Ops 2's LSAT which had an ammo counter on the box, they're able to change the state of the weapon's model and textures depending on the amount of ammo in the gun, thus they could implement the belts emptying either with actual animations, or if your statement on animation support were true (which it's not) by a texture workaround. CoD devs are lazy, get over it. Also I'd advise you take a closer look at that Browning because there's actually two or three different states the belt goes through, which does support my point, and considering the rate these actually go at ingame, only about 3 or 4 states would really be needed.

RagingSalamence No, I enjoy getting into a tank and neutralizing enemy motorized infantry units to assist my team in capturing their objectives. I do not enjoy running around a tiny arena shooting a bb gun into everything that moves and swearing at someone's mother on the mic.

RagingSalamence It does have teamwork. The problem is the number of children that play it for explosions and planes and plain firefights, not to mention that without a mic and an organised squad, it's difficult to co-operate with strangers. I crashed a heli once, didn't see electric cables below me. It is quite common.

Apparently on the real weapon, the MTS-225's cylinder release is behind the cylinder, not in front of it (this game seems to think it's a safety). I personally never verified that, though. It was just something I saw on IMFDB. I'm not familiar with it myself.

i really really like how COD weapons have different sets of animations... unlike the bf series tho.. which was really noticeable but whatever i like them both, but i got to give a big hand to activision.

Ghosts *generally* has more detailed firing/reload animations than Battlefield 4 does, but both lose out to MoHW. I like how the pistol hammer strikes the firing pin, and the slide locks back properly. Not perfect, but the bolt catch on the H&K G28 locks back, but only after the new mag is inserted. The sniper rifles show new rounds being chambered. The belt fed LMGs do not show empty belts when reloading and appear to have plenty more ammo. And the shotgun shells ejecting aren't completely in sync.

This may not have been the greatest cod, but damn if it didnt have one of my favorite selections of guns and some of the best animations.

I stopped liking CoD a while back. But I can never ever shake that I love their models and animations. There has never been another game that quite gives the same... look. The one shotgun where he holds three shells, and puts all three in? I love that. The gameplay is the same and stories suck, but I'll NEVER say the devs who make the digital parts aren't talented. Now if only we could get a *real* "return to roots* game, maybe I'd buy it... (Like the Call of Duty 4 Remaster that *you can't fucking get without preordering "Infinite Warfare"!* >:C)

I agree, the animations and the weapon models are always really good, except for BO1 which had too simple models imo. However, about COD4MWRemastered, just wait until june 2017 or something similar and you'll be able to buy it separately, I'm 100% sure :)

I hate how the game doesn't accurately depict the guns damage model. Like the CBJ and Honey Badger are way more powerful IRL than what's depicted in game

Are these playing at half speed of 60 FPS? What I mean is, what framerate did you record at, and how much did you slow down the videos?

He does them at 120 fps and slow them down in between 0,25x or 0,33x depending on how fast a weapon reloads.

Well even the m16 model from black ops had a 20 rounds box magazine which were used in Vietnam but the game said that it held 30.

MAR89TUM has said this before but when you slow the game down that slow gun sounds are useless and music is better.

Dragacane Yeah, and the sound is out of sync with the gun animations and it sounds rubbish.
