Sometimes it's just great appreciate one's hard work by doing precisely what a layout like yours is meant to do: give pleasure by sitting back and watching the trains run! That 37 hauling the huge rake of coal wagons reminds me of growing up in the South Wales coalfields, watching blue 37s growl up and down the Valleys. They could haul gigantic trains, as the journey up the valley was always with empties!

I love your videos when you're just watching trains go by. Its good to get some inspiration into additional shots I can make but there's no getting around the fact that you have many different areas/angles to shoot from. Sometimes the simplist videos work best.

I am fascinated by the early to mid 60s (even though I am just too young to remember it) due to the mix of steam and diesel traction and is beautifully represented here.

The 21-ton hoppers look amazing! Are those Parkside kit-built ones?

They are Hornby HTO hoppers that I weathered using Humbrol weathering washes.

Jennifer, I am a little surpised that with such a lovely layout, you continue to use D link couplers. Don't you find them an abomination to the eye?

Being a child of the 50's i remember the steam era but sadly never saw GT3 although i did enjoy the erlier diesel types that abounded even if some were a failure.
