In this video I continue the process and show you how to add dust and grime, oil spills, glass windows and create the burnt effect on the engine nozzle using a variety of techniques. Starting with the nozzle effect using AMMO shaders, creating glass windows to complete the canopy and adding dirt and dust to integrate the model onto the diorama base!

I always believed the BTL-A4 Y-Wing was a work of art, not just because of its role as the workhorse of the Rebel Alliance against the Empire… but the starfighter itself. The “greeble” on the fuselage and the the ion jet engines allow for each of them to pop out and be unique in its “history” of both the pilot, the droid and the Y-Wing across the battles. You told a “story”, more precisely a fitting conclusion to a Y-Wing that has survived too many battles. Amazing work!

A excellent work. A masterpiece in every respect, Andreia. The finish of the paintwork and the weathering sets standards. Nice to see such a successful job. Especially, since it is on a small scale. When you think about it, old starwars fighters are poorly designed with exposed lines and wires everywhere. It's like an engine without engine hood...
