A drawloom with pattern shafts is an awesome way to weave repeated, symmetric designs efficiently and accurately. But what if we we want to add non-symmetric motifs to our cloth? What if we have no single-unit drawcords at our disposal? In this video, we examine a couple of ways to achieve non-symmetry on the shaft drawloom, including a handy little technique for adding unexpected surprises (or 'Easter eggs') to our weaving.
