Although webflow will let you design your code for free, you can't host it for free (free option is very limited). The monthly plan is not inexpensive, so make sure to know about the pricing before you get stuck.

Is Webflow mainly used for business owners then? I can't imagine it being useful for a freelancer. As people would be most likely hire devs with coding knowledge maybe? Maybe I'm wrong, just asking as someone that wants to learn about web dev.

@@r3dsnow757Who's going to hire a freelance web dev who can't code though? I would recommend looking at more standard solutions like JS frontend libraries and whatever backend you find works for you.

you can purchase subscription as per your need like if you're using CMS then go with CMS plan otherwise basic plan is better if CMS and E-commerce is not used

Is it possible to create and set up a website using Webflow and then transfer it to a different platform in the future? Would I retain access to all the features of the website I created?

you can export webflow website as HATML, CSS and JS but it won't export your CMS so you'll have to export CMS items manually and them you can import it to another tool like Wix or WordPress

I request someone who has a bit of a knowledge about webflow to answer this please. Is webflow a good option to learn and then export to as a freelancer, I've seen some people comment about the hosting fees which is expensive Im currently learning react but I sorta wanted to pivot to webflow as a freelancer because of its ability to generate modern ui-ux without code efficiently. Would it be wise to switch or not? Please answer.

@tutohowto5345 , If you wanna go the freelancing route, Clients don't really care if you are using coding or no coding tools. Unfortunately learning something like react gives you more freedom and upper hand than using something like webflow in terms of animations. You still have to learn javascript plugins like GSAP or lenis to maximize the usage of Webflow. I really suggest you to learn react over the other stuffs.

I think if you are going to freelance, and you have enough customers, then Webflow is fast. However, if you struggle getting customers yourself, and think maybe one day you are going to work in tech companies like Google, then learning React is a must.

Webflow is expensive but it's a growing market for freelancers and agencies. you can learn Wix Studio much cheaper than Webflow.
