Alors que les gouvernements centraux regroupent actuellement 80 % du financement des infrastructures, les finances publiques ne pourront à elles seules combler un déficit de financement croissant pour les infrastructures vertes et climato-intelligentes, estimé à 210 milliards de dollars par an d'ici 2030. Dans le même temps, il existe une multitude d’investisseurs publics et privés à la recherche d’opportunités d’investissement dans les villes vertes et résilientes au changement climatique.
Dans ce contexte, le programme de formation sur le financement de l’adaptation sensible au genre, organisée dans le cadre du projet BRIDGE vise à renforcer les capacités des médiateurs et médiatrices de connaissances et du personnel du FEICOM en matière de planification, de préparation, de priorisation de projets locaux d’adaptation au changement climatique et sensibles au genre ainsi que la compréhension de l’écosystème financier permettant de faire transiter la finance climatique vers les acteurs et projets locaux. Ce premier programme de formation est gratuit, il s'étale sur les mois de mai à août 2024 et requiert environ 4h par mois aux participants.
While central governments currently account for 80% of infrastructure funding, public finances alone will not be able to fill a growing funding gap for green and climate-smart infrastructure, estimated at $210 billion per year by 2030. At the same time, there are a multitude of public and private investors looking for investment opportunities in green and climate resilient cities.
In this context, this training programme on financing gender-sensitive adaptation organised in the context of the BRIDGE project, aims to strengthen the capacities of FEICOM’s staff and other knowledge brokers in the planning, preparation and prioritisation of local climate change adaptation and gender-sensitive projects, and in understanding the financial ecosystem to move climate finance to local actors and projects. This first training programme is free, running from May to August 2024 and requires about 4 hours per month for participants.
