The queens can mate from bee yards near by as well as the yard she is from so large nuc queen yards ideally are near to 3or 4 yards with mature drones

The slides dont fit the screen, i like reading along so its minor but just a slight annoyance lol

Hi Karen, question...when you remove queen cells from the box above the double screen board to put in nucs do you use more than one cell per nuc. I understood you would cut out the capped cells, create a thumbprint in a frame insert the cell in the thumbprint and place the frame in a mating nuc. One or two cells per mating nuc? Thank you!
