Guest Presenter: Blake Ledger
Blake Ledger (he/him) is a PhD candidate in astronomy at McMaster University. He has been a student at McMaster since September 2019 and, before graduate school, completed an Hon. BSc in Astrophysics at the University of Calgary. Blake's research work involves studying the properties of nearby galaxies using telescope observations from the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA). He has also completed two certificates in Teaching & Learning with the MacPherson Institute at McMaster. Blake manages the W. J. McCallion Planetarium at McMaster and he is involved in many outreach initiatives on and off campus. Away from academia, Blake enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors with his fiancé and dog, and playing in recreational soccer leagues.
