I MOVED FROM THE USA TO GHANA AND BUILD THIS HOUSE FOR $100,000, INCLUDING EVERYTHING
In this captivating episode, join Captain Hayford Budu-Darko as he travels from Accra to Aseibu Pan African Village in Cape Coast, Ghana, to interview Karen, a diasporan who made a bold move from the USA to Ghana. Discover Karen's incredible journey, from leaving a $140,000 job in the USA to building her retirement home in Ghana for $100,000. She shares her challenges, including shipping $20,000 worth of gold that disappeared, and the joy of settling in a new country.
Why Americans are Moving to Ghana:
For various reasons, Ghana has become a popular destination for African Americans and other diasporans. The "Year of Return" campaign in 2019, commemorating 400 years since the first enslaved Africans arrived in Jamestown, Virginia, inspired many to reconnect with their ancestral roots. The campaign encouraged over 1,500 African Americans to move to Ghana, and the "Beyond the Return" initiative continues to promote long-term engagement and resettlement.
Many African Americans are drawn to Ghana for its rich cultural heritage, historical significance, and the opportunity to experience life in a predominantly Black country. Ghana offers a sense of belonging and freedom from the systemic racism and violence experienced in the USA. The country's government has also provided incentives, such as land allocations and facilitated citizenship, to attract diasporans.
Economic opportunities, entrepreneurial potential, and a simpler, more fulfilling lifestyle are other significant factors. Ghana's vibrant community and the chance to contribute to the country's development appeal to many seeking a fresh start.
Join us in this insightful interview as Karen shares her story and learn why so many are choosing Ghana as their new home. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more inspiring content!

Please note we are not experiencing loadshedding any more it’s sorted South Africa 🇿🇦 has a formal economy than Africa and property rights even in rural areas they do have property rights and continuous electricity you can make this aspersions by just being in one place. The question is why is Ghana 🇬🇭 not that developed when they had their independence earlier than South Africa 🇿🇦💯✔️

I am very very proud of you. Their negativity is due to jealousy. When you have a desire for better change and ask the Most High for help, you will find out that "before you had called he had already answered". It is important for family to spread out. In case of growth, emergency, etc., you have a place to go. Our children need to know somewhere different. To give them hope that they will never remain trapped in a system that is cyclical and destructive. CONGRATULATIONS MOM. Most people do not have the option of another place on the planet. As a result eventually they lose hope and get caught in the system of despair. You encouraged me to continue with my dreams.

This lady was a pensioner, so if she left a job that paid 140.000 a year it's because she was ready to leave the job. When you get into you 60ties you can retire. Africans who wz t to leave for America to make a better life for their families can do so. If you have a good job there I would say don't leave it to go, and if you want to get a leave of absence first

Someone stealing $20,000 in gold is a bad experience, sir. Thank God the sister was focused and did not let that experience stop her. I'm responding this way because every time I hear about someone from the diaspora being frauded or stolen from in Ghana, the response seems to be minimized with " challenge " or "it happens everywhere." I don't know if that is the right response to such a serious problem in Ghana.

Who on this thread or in Africa actually gives a crap dump about how you supposedly "as a black American" feel about the covertly and blatantly evil, lying, thieving, cheating, greedy, exploitative, parasitic, perverse, oppressive, murderous, and racist thug USA and your freaking fantasized "sovereignty".😂 Wtfu unless you're a paid covert Internet SM Troll Agent or a thinly veiled and apparent malfunctioning Internet AI robot program for the United Snakes of America (USA). The USA run by the Satanist European Greco-Roman, Ashkenazi, and their Boule' BGO/Masonic Negro servants. European Immigrant Americans' descendants and their allied European Gentiles, European Ashkenazi Jew-ish, and their rewarded hired mind-sick, soul sold-out, devilish demonic flunkies, puppets and agents amongst both the indigenous American Natives the first waves of European invaders and criminal land thieves of continental America first called "Indians", then subsequently labeled and called us "Colored", "Mulatto", "Negro", "Black", and lastly "African" and the allied mind-gone sick/satanic Boule' "Blacks" demonic Masonic and BGO members together with the racist European Immigrant Americans' allied Arab, Asian, Hispanic, and African flunkies inside and outside of the Satanic Sodom and Gomorrah Thug USA "WMD NWO National Security Insecurity Government. The place where police regularly kill unarmed and incarcerate non-criminal "Black" men, women, teenagers, and younger kids too! Where every "Black" true freedom and revolutionary leader has been targeted and murdered by the USA government. Where there's no public school curriculum teaching "Black" American History nor the Ancient Civilization, Tribes, History, Languages, Cultures, and present day AFRICA. Why are "Blacks" paying taxes for public schools that teach their children all about the freaking Europeans and zero about the brilliance and contributions of their "Black" race and their true "forefathers" ? Why aren't "Black" children taught anything about "Black" Pan Africanists ? Huh!? Ha!😮 That's your freaking stinking sovereignty! 😂

White people do have an issue with drug use in the USA, but they are not heavily involved in the gang aspect. Per capita there are just very few white people involved in gang activity. Unfortunately, gang activity is glorified in rap and hip hop, entertainment commonly consumed by blacks in the USA. People like P Diddy have destroyed the black community. Over 50% of violent crime in USA is committed by just 6% of the population (being black men), and it's tough for a police officer not to be biased, even black police officers, when they are responding to 5 calls a night for domestic abuse in the black neighborhoods. It's a beautiful thing that the ones that want to escape it feel a connection with Ghana and can start searching out their roots. It's always more comfortable being part of the majority verses a minority in any country.
