The Department of Physics at Khalifa University is a relatively small but rapidly growing center for fundamental and applied physics research in Abu Dhabi. It aims to be the tip of the spear at KU, in support of its ambition to be a catalyst for the growth of Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s rapidly developing knowledge economy and to be an education destination of choice and a global leader among research intensive universities of the 21st century. The department of Physics aims to set new standards in education, research, and scholarship that will be beneficial for the UAE and the world. The department aims to fully integrate research and education efforts; to continuously innovate and integrate global standard in methods of learning and discovery; to build a diverse physics community of service-oriented, ambitious and talented individuals; and to always encourage and nurture creative inquiry, critical thinking, and human values.
