I currently go to the school of " Wes McDowell. I listen to the videos once, play it over to take my notes and then execute. I'm also surprised how my feelings, about certain things you say not to do are right on. ...but now I know from an expert what to actually do now that I'm stuck.. Great content...

I am trying to create own site using elementor now for hero picture should I go for more happy shoppers/customers as I do local SEO to get businesses more customers or should I go for more happy businesses vibes ?? Thx Dean! If YOUR end customer/client are business owners, you'd want to show THEM (or stand-ins for them) in your image. So it should be business owners looking happy that they're getting customers through their website. Make sense?

Hey Wes! I agree with your advice, choosing the right pic takes taste, experience and a basic understanding on how to market a business. Just out of curiosity, what hero image would you choose for a beautician's website? Beauticians and SPA's are the type of clients i mostly work with, so i'm interested in knowing what you would choose! Thanks

In that case, I wouldn't go stock, keep it in the actual spa or salon, with the real stylists. But ideally they could organize a photoshoot in the space, with the emphasis on the customer as they're finishing up, enjoying the end product. Yes i always try and convince them to take a professional shooting, but you know how it is, they always take their time and i'm often handed pics wich only show the place of business with no actual client or model to pose for natural photos... It's just as well thats not always the case! Thanks for taking the time to send me that link, could come handy :)

I notice on your homepage you put yourself in the hero spot. This seems to go against your advice of putting your customer there. Is there a rule of thumb I should apply when deciding between putting myself vs my customers? i.e. when you are consulting et sec

Yea for sure... I put myself there only bc people come from my KZfaq channel, meaning they already know me. I tried it the other way and ppl were just confused that someone else was there instead. Make sense?

How about original photo's instead of stock photo's?

Original photos are great if they're needed, and if you have the budget to get them. I recommend them for photos of your actual team members if that's important, or if you have a physical location that people visit, you'd want interior shots. A good example being a restaurant. But an accountant wouldn't need to spend money on custom "happy customer" photos... I'd rather see that person spend money on other more important things. Make sense?
