Wedding band setup

This is my basic wedding band setup as of June 2023. Tonight’s band is a great 8pc group with 4 singers up front, drums, bass, guitar, & keys
Things to note: amp racks and positioned behind one of the subs to minimize footprint. 2 circuits are being used: 1 for FOH rack with X32r and main amps, 2nd circuit has monitor amps, wifi router, 4 wireless mics and s16 stage box plus backline stage stringer. Ideally backline would be its own circuit but power is in short supply.
Power stringer is run behind the stage in a U shape allowing power for band and lighting. Stage should be free of any cables that could be a trip hazard, no cables shall be run upstage in the middle unless absolutely necessary then gaffed if needed.
Mixing and lighting are done wirelessly using mixing station and Luminair. Lighting is OPPSK 60w LEDS.

You've got downstage and upstage flipped my friend. Upstage is where your drums are (back of stage) downstage is where your vocals are (front of stage) this is because theatres used to have sloped stages pre-phantom of the opera era theatres. Over time, venues started to build with line of sight in mind for a flat stage. The labels stuck. Cool setup tho, all the best.

Awesome setup you have there mate. Noticed you using a CVR power amp. How has been for you and will you highly recommend it? What model? Cheers 👌

Really liking them. I bought the first one 2 years ago and used it on a ton of shows, D1004 1000w @8, 1700 @4. Mostly ch A&B subs and C&D tops or mids in a 3 way system. Usually 4 and 8 ohm loads 120v(these will run off 220v). Bought a second last year, same application. Seems to put out rated power, with use rear rack supports or support them another way because 1u amps will bend ears.

Yup, ZX3s. Passive, they can be run Biamp but the internal crossover sounds great. Sx300 replacement

Hi, i believe the main power socket is limited. Therefore, how do you connect so many powers? Using power conditioner or strip? Hoe to avoid overheating the main source?

Each circuit I used is a dedicated 15amp. I provide a multi outlet stage stringing for band members to use, they’re not allowed to use wall power elsewhere so that eliminates ground loops. Each rack gets its own circuit as well and I know they draw far less than 15a

Electrical tape not Gaff? Passive speakers and power amps? Time to get into the 90's! Just saying..

E-tape is only for the speaker poles. As far as passive vs active, well, as long as the gear is good quality I’ll use it, it nothing worse than bad active speakers
