Axel and Joanna are getting married. Join Alma, Harry and their parents at Skeppsholmen where we look for a venue for the wedding party. This is the first episode of our new wedding series. It's been a while since the proposal and there will finally be a wedding this summer. We will have the party at Skeppsholmen in Stockholm but the question is in which venue? We trust Elin and Matilda at Skeppsholmsgruppen, who have arranged many large parties, events and weddings. They show us several different premises that differ in style and number of guests. We start by looking at Moderna Museet, where restaurateur Malin Söderström runs the restaurant, which is also a banquet hall. We move on to Segelsalen, where you can have a party on two floors. Dinner upstairs and dancing downstairs. In Glasverandan reparations are being made for a dance performance, and it’s possible to use the stands in interesting ways at parties. Mindepartementet is a smaller venue with a cozy outdoor hangout facing the boats. The crown jewel is of Skeppsholmsgruppen is Eric Ericsonhallen, here you can have a lot of guests in a grand setting. Alma is sold! Finally, we check out Bergrummet, which is tucked under the old Skeppsholm church. This was a communication center during the Second World War but it is a toy museum today. Harry is afraid of old dolls but Laura would have loved them! However, she has a fever when we look at venues, so she is at home with grandma.
We have a few favorites but aren't quite sure where to have our party. Which venue do you think suits our family? Comment below!
