It's the final instalment of the Growing My own Wedding Flowers series! Join me in this extra special episode as I cut all the flowers that I've been growing on my allotment garden this year. You'll see how I prepare them for arranging and watch as Bev, Holly and I create the ceremony floral centre pieces like the asymmetric archway, forest floor aisle runners and the all important bouquets made by Bev - my now mother-in-law. Loved this. I grew up in Wollaton and played in the Camélia house and in the grounds of Wollaton Park as a child. I left 30 years ago and don’t get to go back very often. I’ve been watching you for the last few years,you’ve been a therapy for me after losing my daughter. The flowers did you proud, what beautiful artistry you ladies produced, well done. And it goes without saying, you looked lovely and you both looked very happy. There is something particularly beautiful of a home grown wedding, I remember my own where I created bespoke invitations, my mum made my dress and the dresses worn by my sister and flower girls, my aunt decorated the hall, and other family and close friends helped with other aspects to help the day go smoothly. It all made the day feel extra special and personal, my hubby and felt so loved and supported. Wishing you both a long and happy marriage 💞

Wow what a lovely couple - such a lucky, lucky chap. Your flowers and display looked the business, but you absolutely stole the show Kat. Stunning. I bet you were shattered after all that !! In the late 80’s and early 90’s I used to work for East Midlands Electricity Board based Boston but used to come to Nottingham regularly to the HQ in Arnold. I used to enjoy stopping off at Wollaton to go for a wonder to see the grounds and the deer. The night life and theatre in town was good fun too. We always said that Nottingham had the prettiest girls!! Guess we were on the money. Thanks for the memories. And thanks so much for sharing your amazing day. All the best to you both….
