when I was young and lived in Soviet Union there was a special show running every Sunday - it was called "Raduga" which translates to English "Rainbow" - nothing to do with gay-pride, but about multitude of cultures in Soviet Union and from other countries of the world. Loved to watch it. It was time when we were embracing other cultures so openly, believing in their honesty. And this trust was sadly so badly misused.

This is sooooooooooo different, beautiful, magical and unique. The men dancing with the black robes giving the impression they're floating, the women with their beautiful dresses, voices and dance and lastly all together and their choreography. I'm from Latin America and women and men hold hands together. But somehow this is so cool, it keeps that vibe going till the end. The energy on the dance floor is amazing. I need this for my wedding!

Compared to very "foot-y" Western dance, especially theatrical dance, this "Caucasian" style appears to us "divine" and otherworldly because it totally suppresses (hides), at least until nearly the very end, the physicality of locomotion -- a very Eastern expression. - -

Mest oldum...❤ başta farklı bir dil bekliyordum, bazı kelimeleri yakalarken tatarca mı Türkçe mi derken, tanıdık vay be Kumuk Türkçesiymiş....Mutlu bir Tebesüm...Dansa da bayıldım Я была очарована...❤ сначала я остановилась на другом языке, ловя некоторые слова, я говорила, то ли татарские, то ли турецкие, вау, это был кумукский турецкий.... Счастливая улыбка... Мне тоже понравилось танцы

This dance style called Beryozka dates from 1948 when is was created by choreagraphe and danser Nadezhda Nadezhdina. I don't know how many old cultural elements she incorperated, but the whole is far more recent than it looks.

This is the best wedding dancing I’ve ever seen- it’s so very beautiful. The ladies are so elegant and graceful, and the men’s black coats at the beginning…the strong shapes of the clothing are so striking. I love everything about this- I’d want them to dance at my wedding too!

Читаю комментарии и тоже восхищаюсь теми из Америки,Канады....,которые восхищаются кумыкскими танцами.. Богатый колорит.хореография,костюмы выдают характер народа -честь.достоинство,благочестие.нрав.... Спасибо всем людям,кто положительно отозвался о кумыкской культуре. САЛАМ АЛЕЙКУМ. АКСАКАЛ.
