❤Cheryl, This Is Cheryl Young From Middle Ga. I Too Have Had Breast Cancer. I Was Diagnosed In April Of 1997. I Was 38 Going On To 39 Of June The Same Year. I Had A Mastectomy And They Took 6 Lymph Nodes Out Of My Arm Pit As Well. Two Out Of 6 Had 25% Invasive Cells. I Found The Tumor In The Breast Myself. I Had Always Done Selph Breast Exams And Still Do On The Side Of The Mastectomy And The Other Side As Well. Other Then The Tumor , Which Was The Size Of A Pea Wee Marble It Had 25% Invasive Cells. But There Was No Cancer In The Breast Itself, Other Than The Lymph Nodes As I Said. I Went Through 3 Months Of Chemo. 2 Weeks After My First Treatment, I Lost All My Hair, Every Where, And I Mean Every Where. At The Time I Was Working For DOD As An Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic On C141'S . I Went Back To Work After About 4 Weeks, after The Mastectomy. They Put Me On Light Duty Till I Finished My Chemo. It Was So Hot, It Was During The Summer, I Just Wore A Baseball Cap To Work. My Ball Head Freaked Many Out, Especially The Guys. It Was Too Hot For A Wig. I Wore A Bandana, A Dressy One To Church. After My Last Treatment, It Took About 6 to 8 Weeks For My Hair To Come Back Gradually...What Got Me Through All This, The Morning Of My Surgery While Waiting For The Surgery Team. I Ask The Lord, Show Me Something In My Bible I Was Reading To Get Me Through All This. My Bible Fell Open To Phillipians 4:13...I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who STRENGTHENS Me...He Will See You Through It Cheryl. You Think It's The Most Awfullus Thing To Go Through. But There Are Far Worse If You Just Look Over Your Shoulder. I Had Women I Had Known 20 to 25 yrs Coming Out Of The Woodwork Telling Me About Their Cancer, Years Before. This April, Now Past Made Me A 27 Year Survivor. I Thank The Lord Every Day. He Has A Reason For Me Being Here. I Better Go Before I Get Cut Off.
