Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

Names for Stella’s kids: sage, Scarlet, sapphire, sugar And Sarah for girls. Sasha, sol (which means sun), sap, and spice and spaghetti😆 for boys. Names for Fern’s kids: fleur delacour (from Harry Potter), Faith, frost, feather, and foam for girls. Forest, France, froth, Flash, and fuzz for boys. (this took me so long to write!!!!)

@@alyssamarie8124 No that is correct, and the spelling is dependent on where you are. Both Frøya and Frigg are fertility goddesses which is another reason they might be good for potential doelings.

I want to share a Mexican Dish my mom would make for us growing up. You take suzukini that gets a lil big. Cut them in rounds about a inch thick then cut a slice in half, not all the way through that inch piece. Then you add a small square or round piece of Jack cheese to fit in the middle of the zucchini use a little flour to coat the zucchini then dip into a egg wash then Fry them in a lil bit oil of your preference. Set them a side. The salsa that goes over these zucchini is boil about 4 medium size tomatoes and about half of a onion salt to taste and a tablespoon of Mexican oregano blend till smooth let it boil and once it boils it's up to you if you want the sauce thick or thin. If thin put all your zucchini into to the pot let it simmer for a few minutes and serve like a soup. If you want a thick sauce don't add the water the tomatoes where boiled in. So just blend the tomatoes with the onion, oregano salt. Add as many pieces of the zucchini on your plate then add sauce over the zucchini. We ate it with warm tortillas we roll them like a taquito take bite of the tortilla then chase it with a bite off the zucchini and jack cheese egg coated fryed sauced delicious dish and go to town. IM SORRY FOR NOT GIVING YOU EXACT DETAILS ON THE RECIPE I'm a eyeball home cook person that just goes for it. Well I hope you can guesstimate this recipe and master it to your liking. Because it is so delicious.

Your were on a podcast! But i feel what makes you different from other channels is little details. And your always find something new to do. The other things like the cooking section, Kevin's crafty corner, the garden, scenery shots, the pond, and something wacky or funny the goats do! I only miss one thing. Is the old intro with drone shots. The music, it just got me so exited, it felt so homey and relaxing. Please bring it back!!!

Hey guys. Corn problems? We are all the way up in Ontario Canada, and we have squirrels who help themselves to the popping corn when we plant. So my solution for the last few years is to start them in cell packs, then planting the plugs in the garden. Works great! The squirrels don’t both with them. We also start our big sunflowers this way so the sunflower seeds don’t disappear. Mind you, we do have volunteer ones too sometimes. This method isn’t for a whole field of corn by any means, but for us small farms and homesteads it is a solution to get some of the fussier crops started. Maybe your kitty caught the culprit if your corn kernels are disappearing! Good luck on pursuing your milking stars.
