It's been weeks that i look a videos around on ways to make patches but none are explaining some stuff, like why do you use twill when you use water soluble transparent plastic sheet, why do you do the running stitches twice and stuff like that. Your video is long but it's the only one where we actually understand how to not have dirty edges. If you could do a condensed one with all the infos it would be awesome, because I guess that on every subject it would be the same. Thanks

Have you found that not using the thread hook guide at the top of the needle is better or worse? I have seen mixed opinions and have gone back and forth on whether not I should or shouldn't. I feel like it effects tension a little bit as well but just wanted to hear your thoughts on it.

Ive always had it threaded as its suppose to. Ive never tried to change it up.

Thank you for your videos. I love watching them! I’m considering buying a Ricoma. Would you be able to tell me if they can read PES files? I have a brother SE2000 and want to upgrade but don’t want to loose all of my embroidery files if I switch brands. Thanks!

Thanks for the comment! Pes files are for Brother machines. Ricoma uses dst files, pes won’t work with the Ricoma.

Hi can you help please ,I only have a single needle machine and when trying to create 4 patches at a time I always lose 2 of the 4 as they always seem to mess up , I can't seem to get the material any tighter is there a hack for making it super tight or a more rigid backing??

Have you ever tried heat and bond lite for patches? Do you think that might work for stability along with cut away?

The lite can be used but it will only hold temporary. You would have to stitch on it afterwards to secure it permanently.

Yes, I know when I was starting, videos would skip the most important details. So I try to cover every minor detail.

Since the thread is thinner than traditional 40 weight, you might have to increase the density, and add more underlay. If its super plushy, you might want to lay down a knockdown stitch. You just have to gauge how much extra stitches you want to add without going overboard.

the design is too small about 2*3cm when i add more underlay like double tatami and more density like0.28 but the left and right contractions are too large
