I’m curious Dustin. Do you peel off the coatings on those 90’s/2000’s Topps refractor cards? Are the card values higher if you do? I’ve carefully done it with 2 cards of Aikman & Rice from the late 90’s inserts successfully but have not graded them.

You know I love grading cards so I always peel off the coatings for those 90’s and 2000’s refractor cards 👍 That’s how you get the gem 10’s :) But if I were just collecting and not grading then I would definitely keep the coating on 👌

Dude, that Giannis Optic Fantasy Stars /25 is sick! I must have missed the memo, but I'm a fan of Optic inserts too! The Contenders Optic Historic Slams is probably my favorite, but there's so many good ones out there. I appreciate how many of them are on the thicker card stock and the 'refractor-ing' just pops! Definitely underrated, but hopefully people will eventually realize how difficult a lot of the inserts are to pull.

Do you keep up with all sports by watching or check any type of stats for those young players in 1st or 2nd year that May be popular but not so broadcasted?

Good question 👌I check box scores for all the major sports regularly (espn or yahoo), and weirdly playing daily fantasy sports helps a lot. I don’t recommend betting big, just a few bucks here and there. Great way to track stats and get to know players especially rookies. Thanks for watching 🙌

How are you determining what the appropriate bid is to get a “good deal”? Also, do you have any filters or key terms that you use? Thanks

Sometimes I’ll use the ‘sport’ filter, and click basketball or football only 👍 That eliminates all the Pokémon, soccer, and baseball for me which is nice sometimes. Or I’ll search just by year, so I can eliminate all the new 2022-2024 stuff. The ‘good deal’ bidding question is a tough one….that you just kinda gain through experience and checking eBay completed listings. For example, always put the ones you’re interested in your eBay watchlist (even if you’re not going to bid), then when they end check out what they sold for so you have great reference for the future 🤙

How did you bid 200+ on the Jabari and got it for $8 ? I use Gixen. I dont think it can bid lower than you put in?...

My bid only goes up to whatever the next bidder puts in 👍 So luckily the highest another bidder put in was the $8 😅

Nice pickup! Do you think psa doesn’t know how to grade embossed cards? I got a fresh pack Zion embossed cards back from them and they gave it a 6. Everyone that looks at it cannot see why it’s a 6.

PSA just grades embossed cards very strictly (also die-cuts) :( I recommend sending embossed cards to SGC 👍 Thanks for watching!
