These are gorgeous Annette! I’ve never used tea bags, so I’m going to start saving them now. Your junk journal is stunning, and you’re not even finished it yet. Thanks for a great time watching you experiment. That’s what it’s all about. ❤

Thanks so much! I would recommend rinsing and emptying the tea bags after you've brewed. I tried letting them dry first and emptying them after and they were soggy for days and harder to clean.

The tea bags take embossing ink and metallic embossing powders really well, too! Ranger’s metallics are especially effective - gold, silver, gunmetal.

I’m sure you already know this but just in case, if you put parchment paper on each side of your page that wrinkled in your book and iron it it should take most of the wrinkles and rippling away. The heat from the iron reactivates your glue but also dries it Hope that makes sense

Yes, I don't know how ink can't soak through, it's so thin, but definitely try coating it first and see for yourself.

Very pretty and interesting. I've seen videos where the person using plastic wrap between napkin and whatever they're adhering it to. Then they iron it. I haven't tried that method so don't know if it works or stays long term.

I believe I've seen that as well, but I'm not sure if it was plastic wrap or deli paper... hmmm, either way, interesting.

Fun with tea bags! While watching I soaked some tea bags and just opened some & dumped out the tea. These were old ones (caramel tea) someone gave me that I won't be using to make tea to drink. Question... what is the difference using the pva glue vs mod podge?
@AnnetteGreen
@AnnetteGreen 19 күн бұрын
If you Google Polyvinyl Acetate, you'll find all the science behind what's in it and what makes it unique. It definitely has a bit of a rubbery quality when dry and that's why it works well in book binding and making these notepads. I'm not sure I would say the same for Mod Podge.

I haven't, Crystal, and I'm a bit scared to since they seem a little delicate. I suppose if you taped them to a piece of paper and fed it through that way, it might work. Well, if you try it, let me know!
