Week 4 Recap & Key Moments of Johnny Depp & Amber Heard Trial (Sidebar Podcast EP. 11)

Law&Crime's Angenette Levy provides a recap of the key moments that unfolded during week 4 of the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard defamation trial. We saw multiple witnesses prior to Depp's legal team resting their case. Heard's defense began after her attorneys motioned to dismiss the case and were denied. Forensic Psychologist Dr. Dawn Hughes was the first witness that Heard's team called to the stand before calling Amber herself to give her testimony. Heard testified on various incidents that were presented during Depp's testimony, providing the jury with both sides of the story. Court is now on break this week and will return May 16 at 9am EST.

Yeah but obviously she and her legal team thought of all that beforehand, it's not like she's coming up with it on the spot. I hate to say this but I wouldn't be surprised if she were able to recall every single word she's said in court so far...

Oh, they are definitely going to take her apart on cross. It's lovely that they have the luxury of a week to strategize on it. So far, her testimony is nearly 100% hearsay. It's all subjective nonsense. How does any woman get penetrated with a broken bottle and not end up in the ER? Will she be able to keep track of her lies? I think not. Johnny's team is going to dig into every crack and pry it all apart.

What a bad actress.... listen to the tape from Australia that they can't play in court due to technicalities. It's where she says she was only popping Adderall, Xanax, ecstasy and hallucinogens to the security guy who passed on. She kept saying she didn't mean to do it (the finger slice) and that she loved him and didn't want to leave. She had no bruises, cuts except some perfectly spaced lines on her arm that looked like self harm.

@@GlossyHop To be honest I'd to turn it of it was like her team were going day by day. And like if this really happened to any person. The first thing you want to do is get them locked 🔒 up. I mean if someone forced a bottle into someone in my family I'd end up doing something bad to the guy. But I wad like I cannot watch anymore of this crap. Because if she was telling the truth it would all come out. But she kept going from one thing to a different thing making the guy out to be a wack Job. Honest if your going to marry a person and he starts beating and asking you not to do movies the first thing I'd tell my daughter do is end it straight away and bring charges for the bottle. I mean if its true go to the hospital his DNA would be all over her if it happened. So I just felt so bad he had the whole world 🌎 listening to her story's. Because if they were fact she would not need to snort or start crying every time the jury get bored. I'd to turn it of and I'll probably won't be able to watch till cross examination. Because her doctor wad right about one thing she is not right in the head. So I don't know. Johnny fell into a trap with that witch I Just pray that Johnny team can expose her lies because there are real woman and men who put up with liars for years. And it's frustrating to watch a woman who doesn't need money. Like I don't get why you marry a guy who is a control freak. So I rest my case and I'm glad I'm single because there some evil people willing to make up anything there days

When I see her speak I don’t see a victim, what I see is an actress rehearsing a monologue. And it’s absolutely disgusting. Watching Johnny talk however, reminds me of how I speak when I try to illustrate the trauma I have experienced. Like it’s physically painful to speak about. It’s not hard at all to find the words, it’s just extremely difficult to actually speak them, you slowly force them out. Probs to triggering for me to be watching this. Very upsetting watching how deep her lies go. I hope he gets every single penny from her and permanently ruins her career.

But she has put it out there after the baby was a few months old that she introduced her having a baby through a Sergeant. She starting seeing the richest man in the world Elon Musk weeks after she filed for divorce and took out restraining order. He is the one that paid 1.2 million dollars to the charity she pledged to give her seven million dollar divorce settlement to. As of to date she herself has not paid a dime.

I don’t write any comments on these videos, but wanted to share something I noticed. When Johnny speaks, he speaks quite slowly of course, but he pauses *so that he can try to remember what happened*, and recount actual events. When Amber talks, she hardly pauses and she keeps up a very steady pace. This means she either has an extremely good memory, which is very uncommon with a user of such substances and possessing an apparent ‘’’ personality disorder ‘’’, or something is not quite right in her testimony. The latter, I believe, is the more likely. I could be wrong. Moral of the story: Always take note folks. Do not judge people, but be perceptive. God bless!

Around the end when she described the liquor bottle penetration and couldn’t shed a real tear. Thanks for this. I heard a few days ago that Amber slipped and mentioned a name that opened the door to Johnny's team bringing in all her past record and behavior. I wasn't sure if I that was true but thank you. OMG! How lovely that Johnny's team has the whole week to strategize the cross on Amber. All that history that wasn't allowed in this trial can now come out!!!!! Johnny's team must be having a new strategy party, while Amber's team is peeing their pants. You have to remember that defamation lawsuits are hard to prove and that the jurors do not have access to all the information we have. I hope the jurors see through Heard's lies and Depp's team exposes all those lies during cross examination, but I'm expecting Depp to win. I hope so, but know it's possible it won't happen.

It's like watching tv shows on the CW network. It takes me out of the moment when I realise the actors are doing acting exercises, rather than exhibiting natural emotions from the character they're portraying. That's the feeling I get watching AH during her testimonies, except acting on the CW doesn't take me out of the moment THAT much

Yeah, I wondered about that and then I remembered that they're all fake-hollywood-types and probably disallowed. She's naturally biased, being her sister. Yada, yada, it's all he-said, she-said and has no place in the courtroom. But likely, either Whitney can't say under oath that Johnny did anything nasty as she'd be lying and AH's team knows this, or the judge disallowed her because she's close family and biased. Let's see who Amber still has on her side to step up for her. Anyone???

It fake and contrived from 37:58--into 39 ---shes waffling about her looking around room after ,as he's supposedly shoving a broken bottle in her. She says she was quiet scared and shocked and those thoughts overshadowed any discomfort/ WTF?? ANYONE would be screaming bloody murder and cowering and fighting for their life!!!--then in 39 she answers her lawyer with this suddenly composed tone of he kept shoving the bottle in me over & over and I thought I just married this man... PSYCHO brain at work!!
