This song saved my life, I was 13 closeted in a catholic family with 4 brothers. There’s no way to describe how important it was for people like me to hear that you’re not wrong just by being born, god makes no mistakes ❤

Something important to note- hearing the lyrics ‘no matter gay straight or bi lesbian transgender life / I’m on the right track baby I was born to survive’ on a song about being born perfectly was 👏 revolutionary. Especially for 2010/Ish? Coming from a world renown up and coming pop star - huge. And Gaga’s international support of LGBTQIA+ 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ rights has been instrumental. Glad you enjoyed it!

Couldn't say it better. This beautiful lady waved around the pride flag in Russia and almost was arrested because of it. She has always pushed through to represent the queer community no matter what and I love her sm for that.

2009-2011 Lady Gaga era was a huge self awakening era for my own life. Her music, especially the entire BTW album helped me truly find myself as a person and who I was meant to be

people have no idea how many lifes were saved by gaga by this album, mine included. it was really revolutionary and controversial, I love love LOVE her for this. she has been activist for lgbtqia+ rights since the beginning of her career. she’s even banned from russian for speaking her mind and giving support to her fans from the community. she’s always be a rebel and that’s so rare in today’s pop music.

When I heard this song for the first time, I was stuck in traffic because there’d been an accident up the road. I was not in a good mood. This came on so I turned my stereo up as loud as it could get. I opened my car doors and laid on the hood of my car. Zero fucks given.

When y’all mentioned about the first time it played in the club or radio, when I first heard her sing it live at her Born This Way Ball show, she said, “Tonight, you’re fucking free” and I felt it. It was one of the greatest moments of my life!

That final scene in the video at approximately 9:55 is reference multiple pop culture icons including Ziggy Stardust aka David Bowie, Michael Jackson, and Madonna to name a few. it incorporates elements of their iconic performances like Michael's diamond glove, Madonna's unique features, and the starry sparkling of David's Ziggy Stardust signature walk. This video has a lot of easter egg references within it to many pop culture sources that are all related to the LGBTQ+ community. We are ALL Born This Way.

In the monologue of the video when Gaga talks about the begging of a new race she’s talking about her fans the “Little monsters” that are open-mind and a race that has no prejudices and whose main ambition in life is to inspire unity and solidarity and the other race is the humanity that is judgmental and mean that’s why is representantes with a gun and with darkness later she says “how I can’t protect something so perfect without evil” because she’s like our mother

BTW was the first song in history on be #1 in iTunes in just hours also the song had the second best debut on the billboard hot 100, this song broke so many records and was #1 in billboard for 6 weeks and the song had the best selling in his two first weeks, was the second song since 2003 in be #1 after his debut and after the 6 weeks in the 7 weeks was #1 in the top of pop songs

I think the sandals had to do with the fact that she'd just recovered from breaking a hip and this video was, I believe, the first time she actually got up and danced after. Can't risk it in big ass heels so soon lol.

2:10 - It is 100% supposed to be the shape of the female reproductive system. It's called G.O.A.T., a Government-Owned Alien Territory. 7:29 - Try blasting this song in the car by yourself. It's an experience. For the LGBT community, this song is so near and dear to our hearts. It's unapologetic, triumphant, and celebratory. Blasting this at a Pride event is required. 8:16 - They're not sandals 😂 they're something dancers use to turn more efficiently so the balls of your feet aren't rubbed raw with all the turns you do. This was one of the first times we saw her not in heels and people in the fandom definitely noticed. 10:02 - No, it's not Madonna. She had a gap when she was little and she was made fun of for it. It's since been "fixed" but she wanted it put back in for the video about embracing your differences and insecurities to celebrate that part of her she never got to celebrate. 10:15 - Ugh, it was 'Express Yourself' because they said it had the same notes or progression or whatever the fuck. Gaga-hating Madonna fans still use this to spark fights on Twitter, but the two are friends in real life so who cares anymore?

I'm a huge fan of Madonna. However when this song came out she was interviewed and she was asked what she thought of this song, because everybody was comparing it to Express Yourself, and she called it reductive. This song is about equality and loving yourself.. I mean it's all there in the lyrics. Express Yourself is a women's empowerment song. So how is this song reductive at @Madonna ? With ✌️&❤️ Edit: re·duc·tive /rəˈdəktiv/ adjective tending to present a subject or problem in a simplified form, especially one viewed as crude. "such a conclusion by itself would be reductive"

In fact there are 4 photos of them together from different years laying on the same plush white carpet or huge blanket, in different clothes. Maybe at the met gala or some awards party.
