18:40 i have the worst gym anxiety as well. its exactly what you said, i can be in a good routine for a while and then skip a week and not go back for months. the last time i experienced this was last fall, and Ive then decided and come to accept that I am just not a gym person. I do not enjoy it. I dont like going there. And thats fine! We cant expect everyone on this planet to like the same kind of exercise. I feel like especially for people our age it can be such a pressure to go to the gym since its the most common type of exercise in our age group, but that doesnt mean everyone has to do it. Like I enjoy going for walks waaayyy better so I just prefer that! And that’s totally fine

Girl, I feel you! I finally got into reformer pilates after many years of disliking all exercise and really liked it and then I injured my ankle briefly and havent been able to get myself to go back since. My ankle is fine, but I just cant do it!

I learned some thing recently that maybe you would find helpful for your gym anxiety. It was about changing your mental voice. Whenever you think "I don't want to go to the gym" or "Its stressful to go to the gym," stop yourself and tell yourself "I will feel so good after going to the gym," or "I am going to feel so strong," or "I want to take care of my body." A lot of things are a mental game, so changing your mindset towards the gym might be helpful! :)

Just thought I’d pop on and give you some encouragement from one believer to another. Affirmations as helpful as they may be will never compare to Gods Word and what He says about you. I would encourage you to read Isaiah 43 - “You are precious and honored in my sight.. do not be afraid for I am with you.” As someone who also struggles with other peoples opinions I’ve found great comfort in meditating on Gods word, knowing and understanding who HE says I am rather than what the world thinks. Knowing who the Lord says you are, and being secure in your identity in Christ is all the affirmation that you need - you are beloved, redeemed, honored, and precious in his sight, remember that! God bless you girl and keep on being faithful ❤
