Hi everyone! In this video, I attempt to vlog my full first week of work after my very short maternity leave! It's a bit disorganized and messy, sort of like my life right now with a newborn, but hope you enjoy watching me get reacclimated to work while being a new mom. I went back to work at 7 weeks with my oldest. I can see on your face the feelings I had. You aren't alone. It's unfair, but we all do the best we can do.

Amazing! You’re doing great Tiffany. I’ve been watching your vids since I was in undergrad and now I’m starting my internship in school psych this coming fall. I think it’s incredible when women have children while working, especially when we don’t get back shit for maternity leave in America. Idk how you do it being away from your little one but you’re killing it forsure

Oh, and a tip on taking Iron if you're not already aware. Iron is best absorbed when you take it with Vitamin C. Also, drink plenty of water and take stool softeners. Iron is highly binding, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

Thank you so much for sharing this content, I am an aspiring school psychologist so this is extremely helpful. I also love that you include things about your personal life, because I also one day want to be a mom!! Would you mind doing videos that also incorporate more mom life, or even a new house tour? xx

Thank you for sharing this! I am a first year grad student in a school psych. program. So, this is so nice to see the day-to-day of what I will be doing in the future! Just curious...how long does it take you to start and finish a report?

I’m only a practicum student. But from my experience, it depends on the student. Record reviews will be shorter (maybe 1-2 weeks), but initial and triennial reports may take longer depending on how assessments go and whether the student needs more assessments,. It’ll be confusing at first, but you’ll develop your own system, and your supervisor will help you too!

like rochelle said, it depends on the type of report and how much testing I end up doing for the student. I'm still a newbie so it takes me a while to get my thoughts together even with a template. It takes me anywhere from 4-12 hours to write a report even with some kind of template. i would love to make a video about this!

it must be so hard being a new mum in the USA. I had a year off work (partly paid when I had my child) and then could go back to work part time.

I still can’t believe most moms have to go back in 6 weeks and it’s unpaid… I finally qualified for family leave benefits this month which protects me from my job and also 3 months of unpaid leave but it’s still a joke

Thank you for sharing a day in your life! I'm curious as this is the first video I watched from your channel. Is school psychology a Doctorate program, or is this a Master's level degree? I'm interested in obtaining my Master's degree in School Psychology or School Counseling later in life as a mid-life career change. Not sure if it's possible or worth it as I don't have an undergrad in the mental health field but in Healthcare Administration. Thank you, and congratulations!

Just get your prerequisites done at a local community college! School psychology is a masters program with a certificate afterwards. Make sure your grad program is NASP approved so you qualify easier for national certification.
