Some of the band members are former military they do a lot of free shows for the armed forces if I'm not mistaken

Yeah I read on one of those shows there were mortars going off during the show and Ivan Moody goes "Man! F#ck those motherf#ckers!" And then they just kept going and played even harder.

What you paused to read in the beginning is part of the US Army’s “Soldiers Creed”. It’s something that we memorize early in our training and (if you have good leadership) we’re taught to live by for the rest of our life. People talk mad shit about FFDP (like they did with Godsmack back in the day) but they make great music. I highly recommend giving Godsmack a week.

My oldest son told me that he likes this band. I haven't ever heard them before, but they did a great job of this song "Bad Company" by the band Bad Company that I grew up listening to!

Yeah, none of them are vets. They are just, you know, actually patriotic. Which doesn't mean agreeing with the government, but still supporting the 18 year old kid who gets sent off to war, because he was probably too young to think too much about what war meant at the time. Then "grows up" while being shot at. The original song was about Vietnam I believe. And the original band (Bad Company) was trying to counter a lot of anti-soldier sentiment at the time. Even though most soldiers were just as pissed as anyone else.

Yes, the members of five finger death ounch were in the same military unit, the name of the band represents the fuve fingers on the trigger hand of a firearm and the death punch represents the bullet being fired.

Bad Co, was a awesome 70’s band that rocked the late 70’s early 80’s. Great group, one of there best songs (In my opinion) was”Bad Company “ which this song is a remix of, I guess you would say , because they changed a lot of the lyrics. Awesome still when FFDP does it.

It's the creed you learn to live by in the military. This song right here was originally by "bad company" and this song right here was the song that made me love ffdp. We heard it on the radio my mouth dropped I was like how in the hell do I love a remake more then the original. Another good remake is sound of silence by disturbed

FFDP collaborated with LL CoolJ and covered Mamma Said Knock You Out. Plus anything off new F8 album is great. Old excellent songs , wrecking Ball, bullet proof....it's a deep dive. They have another great cover Five Finger Death Punch - "Blue On Black": (feat. Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Brantley Gilbert & Brian May). Kenny Wayne is the original artist and Brian May is the guitar player from Queen. He's 74 and still rocking. There are 2 versions out there one with just FFDP and one with the features so grab the right one.

They all are former military members, they came over when I was in Afghanistan in 2010. But they do alot of concerts at military bases. My favorite band all time and the best band to see in concert

I dont believe any of FFDP's members were service members but they do support them HEAVILY. Often doing shows for service members and have even went overseas to do so. FFDP uses their music to tackle some of society's most troubling issues to help bring them to light. FFDP honestly doesnt deserve some of the hate they get.

"3:11 ..and proficient." This is a cover btw, the original is not as hard but 5FDP's rendition after going to meet with the military has a personal touch to it that stays true to the original and brings it even more emotion to it imo.
