This week I describe the progress I've been making as I explore what it takes to generate the building footprint to the Nazi Zombie map prototype, complete with a system that allows me to generate pillars with all kinds of various damage. Houdini is an absolute BEAST! :)
I failed to mention a few of the resources I've been leaning on heavily as I learn Houdini. The first one, which is probably the best Houdini resource on the planet, is found at Hipflask.how ( hipflask.how ). Frasier Shiers is the instructor, and he leaves no stone unturned as he describes the beauty that is Houdini. I also got a tutorial by Radu Cius ( rart.gumroad.com/l/Procedural... ) which gave me all kinds of clues when it comes to generating a damaged pillar.
