15 hours is great going for 56TB. I would love to pour over the cutover plan though and to understand if all that data was moved over or whether there was significant archiving etc also

In the pdf from the link, it talks about bluefield. So some data carried over, not the whole. I feel 15 hours is pretty good.

@@TechCubicleOnSAP I can't access the PDF on the link but I found a page about it on the SNP site. It seems like they only migrated the 2 most recent years of data out of the 8-20 years on the system. They used their SNP software to do a NZD process to initially ship data and then ship a delta during the downtime window which had to be limited as this is likely an SAP Retail system. It's still an impressive way of doing it and a great result in that downtime was kept to 15 hours - I would hazard a guess that the actual migration element was very small within the downtime (because of their method) and the processes of ramp-down, ramp-up and validation took up the bulk of that time, which would make it even more impressive of an overall cutover effort!

Here's a thought for you, oh AI spotter; what value do you place on the user's ability to phrase their requirements to AI solutions, that the responses are of such good quality ?
