Isn’t it lovely to walk about the garden after a spring rain and smell and feel the fresh air and see the beautiful colors and new life! Praise God for giving us these things to enjoy. Great job designing the beds with the different colors and textures that compliment each other.

I love watching your videos and have been thoroughly inspired by all the foliage colors in your shade garden beds. My goal is to replicate it in my own backyard. Today, I divided a hosta before planting it in the ground, something which I learned from you. I also learned about our mutual friend, Chad. Thank you for sharing your garden and your humor with us.

Soleil, I love how lush and full of beautiful plants your gardens are! When you said the Potager garden is overflowing with happiness right now, I have to agree, “Yes, it definitely is!” Well, since you asked, I think my newest favorite Hosta is Blue Ivory, it looks a lot like Autumn Frost, except it's blue with wide ivory margins. I liked them so much that I purchased 4 of them three weeks ago. I'm still trying to catch up on the videos that I missed when my computer died, but that's okay because I'm enjoying every minute of them. ~Margie

It's amazing how much has filled in in such a short time. Looks like your gardens are done!!🤣 I know, they're never done, are they? Last fall I planted things and this spring found out they're being covered by something that has "leapt" in its 3rd year. So moving plants is what I am doing. I love your ajuga in all its glory. I've put in more this year and it's nice to see what I have to look forward to. Thanks for the update tour!

I want to thank you for showing them on your video. That made a major difference in my garden.

You have such a gorgeous garden simply stunning, you really have an eye for contrast and balance! After seeing the gorgeous burgundy ajuga in your yard last year I just placed an order for a flat of 24 to spread around. It's such a pretty ground cover! We had 90 degrees on Thursday and a high of 34 and snow yesterday (Friday)! Today it finally quit snowing and the sun came out for about 5 minutes. Typical Colorado spring weather! It looks like you are healing nicely, I don't see any limp in the video, so glad you are up and moving around so well after your surgery! Jill

I just got ajuga this year. It’s different and I like it! My clematis is doing great, lovely white flowers climbing a trellis. Waiting for my allium to get flowers. My potted hydrangea is doing well. I planted dahlias, Lambium, dianthus, Supertunia Bordeaux, and cannas and so far, so good. The iceberg climber I planted is looking fantastic as it climbs the trellis. Really hopeful that the deer and rabbits leave things alone.

no idea what happened to my carpets of ajuga this past winter.. simply vanished.. i would be more annoyed,, but my garden is about 4 years old now, and its hard to be too upset when so much is now becoming well established.. things do really sleep, creep, and leap.. all the old ladies peep over here.. well they better get a good look, because the gaps are closing fast, and im getting a kind of contentment that comes with the beginings of a maturing garden.. theres a sense of things being at home now.. harmony and familiarity

Everything looks so great! I have a young Mugo Pine and this is the first year that it has grown huge candles. So, if you can include how you prune your Mugo Pine in a video, I would be very interested in that. Also, you have a lot of hostas in areas that get sun. You don't have a problem with them burning? I would like to use more hostas but I don't have a ton of shade yet. Btw, I received my trowel from the giveaway. Thanks again!
@Suburbanoasis
@Suburbanoasis 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Elizabeth, you can either cut the candles right off, leave them on or shorten them to whatever length you please! I haven't decided yet on how I will be pruning mine this year in terms of shape, but will figure it out soon! Thr hostas are ok in the sun here because we are far enough north and i use varieties that tolerate the sun. 😉🌺💐🌸

@Suburbanoasis
@Suburbanoasis 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Amy, I am pretty sure all of my clematis are type 2 clematis. Since I am in zone 5b i do grow some hostas that are more sun tolerant in the sun but don't recommend it for those in Southern climate where the sin is stronger. Ajuga does better in the sun and is less vigorous in the shade for me. 🤗🌸🌿🌱
