Hello there and thank you so much for watching!
It's been a while since we've made a grocery shopping vlog, so here you are! 💗
This time it's in our local public dry and wet market (palengke) here in Pampanga. Come grocery shopping with us!
We've also been trying to reduce using disposables and we're happy that it's easy to minimize our household waste by bringing our own reusable containers and bags when shopping.
Come watch as we show you how we usually do our groceries when we don't go to the city. Lots of vegetables, fruits, fish, seafood, and some meats. Check out all the local goodies with us! 😍😊
And also a quick stop at the convenience store and supermarket for some snacks and pantry essentials. 🛒

@@TsuneYT We find that it's easy to remember if you keep it by the door so you see it whenever you go out. We also pack a bag with folded bags to make it easy to carry on the way out. 👍

That's what I missed living in the province. Mas accessible ang mga palengke and fresh ang mga produce. Namiss ko tuloy ang Bulacan. When I was young, we often go to Pampanga too. And I am really fascinated with descaling of fish, when I was young, that's my dream job 🙈 Ang galing nilang magdescale at maglinis ng isda. Haha Love this video! 💕

Yes and prices are much cheaper. This is actually just one of two public markets in our area so there's always lots of options. 😊 Cleaning fish is indeed interesting, but they do it so fast at the market that you have to redo it again at home to make sure hehe! Thank you so much for watching!❣

It was actually the only place we could go to for food, plus the nearby supermarket, when lockdown started as we couldn't go to the city. I (Mari) became our representative (haha) as only one person per household could go with a quarantine pass, and we didn't want our mom going out (senior parent). Buying about two weeks worth of groceries with only one person shopping wasn't easy as it was so heavy. 🤣 Hopefully things get better soon and you can visit the public market as well! ❣

Bags are great for dry items, but we need containers for seafood and meat. 😊 The vendors love it too when we bring our own, and they wish everyone would bring containers so they won't have to buy plastic bags anymore. Thank you for the kind words, we appreciate it so much! See you next time 💓

Such a wonderful and complete tour of the market! You got everything you need for the next cooking vlogs! The brocolli was huge! Here it is so small and costs around ¥200 or $2! The wrapper making process was amazing he didn’t get his hand burned! 👏👍

Yes and we really needed to restock so we got all we could carry! 😂 The broccoli is from a province known here as the "Salad Bowl of the Philippines", and we're not far so we luckily get vegetables at an affordable price. Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you always for stopping by ❤

That's great to hear! We've been using cloth bags too for a while now. We hope that more people will switch to reusables and that the supermarket too will have refilling options. Our country still needs to have a better system in providing farmers direct access to consumers, but at least these are all local. It shouldn't have taken until the pandemic to appreciate all their efforts in providing everyone food. 💞

@@maisonmetrecarre Madalang actually yung kangkong dito sa amin haha, minsan alternate ng talbos ng kamote. 😊 Kung nagtatanim ka, pwede indoor basta may grow lights, kasi winter pa diyan di ba? Mga ilang gulay lang ok na tapos pwede na ilabas sa spring. 👍
