Having an eco friendly and natural cleaning routine is so important, especially if you are the person doing the majority of the cleaning, and if you have young children in your household. If you are exposed to conventional cleaning products on a daily or weekly basis, it can have negative effects on your health. So in this video I share my best natural cleaning tips, and please do try them! I promise they will change how you clean your home 🧽

Great video! Adorable beagle. In a bowl I make a cleaning mixture of baking soda, a little kosher salt with a few drops of peppermint oil and a few drops of tea tree oil, I mix it with a spoon then store in a mason jar. It smells wonderful!

I clean my kitchen sink, bathroom sink and tub. I am going to try it in the toilet this week with vinegar. I have been using clorox toilet cleaner and I would prefer to use something more natural. You're such an inspiration to myself and others regarding minimalism and natural cleaning practices. I truly enjoy all of your videos.

For the bathroom (shower and sink) I use dishwashing soap with vinegar (1:1), spray the surface and leave it for a minute or two, and I don't have to scrub anything, just clean with a sponge 🙂

Thanks for the tips. Love how simple and affordable they are. I do wonder what you would suggest instead of hanging things outside to dry when winters are so cold that the wash would just freeze?

Thank you! :) Oh that sounds very cold! During winter, we'd hang our clothes in our laundry room with the window slightly open, or in front of the fire place! But I guess it depends on indoor climate and humidity!

Thanks, that was useful. I have begun to be much more open to the idea of white vinegar and baking soda as cleaning materials as I try to cut down on one-use plastic and chemicals generally. You did mention this before when you were in your old flat, and I thought "hmm, maybe one day...". Well that day is coming!

Is drunken Swedish sauna a thing? Is this common? What to expect as an outsider from Sweden and Finland/Denmark?

Hahha yes! Personally I don't drink alcohol, so haven't experienced it myself. But drinking in the sauna is a quite common thing to do with your friends. But if you are just entering a regular public sauna you can't do it! In those spaces everyone is normally quiet and you don't want to disturb anyone around you.

@@SagaJohanna That is good to know, thanks! Isn’t dangerous to consume alcohol in saunas? What about the experience of sharing a sauna with friends? Is that common experience? What one expect of experiencing that from England or USA?

@@NoelleSam yes, I don’t believe it is advised to drink alcohol during sauna, but people still do! I think the main differences are that 1. people always shower before because it’s hygienic, and 2. You’re not allowed to wear a swimsuit (bcs of cleanliness) so everyone is naked!
