Good stuff, Roy. Always good to hear more being said about Basil Dearden films. I’ve not seen The Square Ring and doesn’t look like it’s available but I’ll keep an eye out for it. I’ll have to rewatch Bus Stop, I saw it when young but really don’t remember it. I have it on a Monroe collection.

Hi Roy, Bust Stop’s premise is odd to say the least, what kind of message were the studios putting out 😬 ahh The Square Ring, that’s the one I mentioned in passing, like you say, we’ve been singing Dearden’s praises these past weeks, we are all on the same page 🧐 (and that one stars Jack Warner, who I mentioned in Jigsaw) I’ve not watched Promised Land yet (I do have a copy though) if Jurassic Park 3 was a stand alone film (no sequels) then people would love it a lot more.
