I dont know about you, but I got so many Reylo vibes in this series that it was hard not to want The Weeping Monk/Lancelot to find Nimue and was a bit gutted they didn't meet properly, even with the creepy vibes haha
How can people have so much chemistry in the show without them sharing a screen???

Yeah bc he was tracking her as he told his people but got in the same room as her and knew she was there as he looked and then looked down as he acted like he didn’t notice her and did nothing to her, never really knew why he did that till the end of the season

@@AnaHernandez-rn8vs agreed. he's just more suitable for nimue imo. i feel like she needs a partner with shared experiences, someone who understands what it's like to be an outcast, and won't be envious of her power & won't contest her for leadership (unlike arthur). lancelot on the other hand really needs to heal and reclaim his own heritage and self-worth, and doing that with the help of another fae is a good way to start (id love to see his interactions with nimue and squirrel in s2). arthur's goals and ambitions are just way too close to nimue's and sooner or later i feel they're gonna clash because of them. just saying...

Yes they did one time, he was tracking a female Fay as he said and was telling his people but he got in the same room as her and as the end of the season showed he’s fey so he knew her sent but while he was in the same room, he wouldn’t stray her or tell his people he knew who and where she was and he left the room looking her direction and then looking down playing it off, when I first watched the sewn I just didn’t think he knew that was her but it’s evident he did and just didn’t want to harm her.

katherine lopez I noticed the way he looked at her watching a video on KZfaq about his character and it clicked I was like omg that’s why he just walked off even though he was looking damn near right at her and he just smelled her belongings. It’s crazy bc that’s only one little detail the show puts right in front of you about him. Imagine how many other little things like that, that are on the show that people don’t realize right away! Now I want to watch it back again lol and there’s people that say they don’t like the show 🤦‍♂️

Love the Weeping Monk! He's my favourite character and the only reason I kept watching the show, because I knew there was more to his story and I wanted to find out. And he's just a great antihero - formidable and compelling. I disagree with the Kylo Ren comparisons though. If anything, he's more like the Winter Soldier: Abducted, indoctrinated and turned into a weapon until he encounters a "brother" who helps him start to remember his former life, setting him on the path to redemption and peace. I love that the catalyst for the Weeping Monk's change is not a girl or a romantic interest. It stems from the compassion and honesty of the Green Knight. And then the Weeping Monk's moment of truth arrives, he's tested and he makes his choice, at a cost, but it ultimately reveals to us and himself, the kind of man he truly is. I also don't think he necessarily needs a love interest. But if he does get a romance, I agree that Nimue is the best match, especially given this rendering of his character. In some versions of the Arthurian legends he has stronger ties and a significant relationship with Nimue (more so than Arthur). Granted, it's not romantic but "Cursed" re-imagined the relationship between Merlin and Nimue, so there's no reason they couldn't do the same with the Weeping Monk, especially if it's in the interest of telling a better story. And I've rambled on way too long now!

They both have the same type of scars on their back..that means both were marked by the dark gods...maybe the show will dig up in their past and eventually both will share a common connection. P.s: I really want them to be together❤

Maybe they knew each other as kids and she just didn’t know as the show went on that the weeping monk was her childhood friend who got taken away by the red palatine and turned again them by that dick head priest.

The scars on his back looked freshly cut and, frankly, self-inflicted (religious fanaticism often includes masochism to draw out carnal desires, etc. In his case it was probably to draw out his feelings of kinship with the Fey) as opposed to hers which were dark god-inflicted a long time ago. I do agree that their scars can be something the show can bank on (sharing deep pain, etc.), but let's not pretend they're the same types of scars.

I am so happy I am not the only one who wants them together. I don’t know how or why but since the first episode I just KNEW he was Lancelot. Really can’t explaine it, I just knew. And to be honest, I don’t like Arthur at all. Don’t know why but he just annoys me.

Yeah. Lancelot was Nimue's adopted son in the stories. But in the show they could become lovers or more. Like how in stories Merlin was Nimue's lover. But in the show his her father.

Honestly same! but what’s weird is that before the show came out i made this au where Ben doesn’t die in TROS, and a year later they have a daughter. Rey saw a vision of her daughter as an adult, and I used Nimue because I really think she looks a little like Daisy and she was wielding a sword which I edited into a lightsaber. And I’m shocked that now the show is out, people compare Nimue x Lancelot to Reylo like omgggjdnsnsn how even-
