Interesting, I live in Chicago area and it took about three days to get my 2.4 mg. Fortunately, I’ve had minimal side effects and I’ve been on 2.4 for three months now. However, I’ve been really fortunate with minimal side effects on any dosage. I’m down 56 lbs since mid-March. This medication has been a game-changer for me!!!❤❤❤

Hmmmm…. I’m on 2.4 Wegovy, too Breakfast 6am 1.Coffee 1.Apple 🍎 1.Banana 🍌 1.Mandarin 🍊 Hopefully 🙏 poop. Drink a lot of water throughout day. Then day fast 💨 Until after 6pm😅 Eat small portion dinner Whatever you’re feeling But try to make healthy choices. Go to sleep by 9pm Wake up 5am REPEAT DAY ALWAYS WEIGH YOURSELF AT NIGHT AND IN MORNING I WAS 270 lbs. Now I’m 182 lbs. 10 pounds to go

I had to go back to the 1.7 dosage for three months after initially starting on the 2.4. The 2.4 made me too fatigued to stay on it the first month. After going back to the 1.7 for two additional months the 2.4 was much more tolerable. If need be I could stay on the 1.7 indefinitely but I’m Doing much better now on the 2.4 so we’ll see how it goes. It’s all about listening to how your body reacts to the drugs.

Hi, thank you for sharing. I can say that the 1.7 dosage was the most challenging for me as far as fatigue but now with the 2.4 mg dosage I'm only really tired the day after my injection. I do feel my body is responding however it does appear that these higher dosages really zap most people of their energy! It really is an unfortunate side effect.

I'm from Phila and I'm having the same problem. I had to drive a hour and a half round-trip to get the doses I need.

Hey, it’s so frustrating because Novo Nordisk claimed that the national shortage would only impact the lower dosages but that’s not true… it’s misleading and disappointing when you finally make it to the higher dose and it’s not even readily available in your area. Good news is my prescription was approved for automatic refill and there’s a pharmacy nearby that keeps it in stock. I hope that eventually your prescription will be more accessible! I had to start putting my food on a saucer instead of a dinner plate... that way my eyes were "satisfied" (that problem of eyes being bigger than the stomach), but the small plate kept my portions to a small amount that I could actually eat and not waste food because I couldn't eat the amount it takes to fill a bigger plate.

I’m so sorry to hear that. The thought of passing six pharmacies was so annoying to me but I know that in some rural areas people are traveling much farther… I really shouldn’t complain!

Update going on second week I still can’t find my area having my daughter ship it to me with dry ice and with a small insulated bag overnight so far things are going good still can’t give myself the shot but I’m going to try again this weekend 3rd week

I hope the medication remains safe for use. Hopefully soon you’ll be able to get your medication within your area. My prescription is on automatic refill which is nice. For most people, the higher dosages are easier to obtain.

I am starting my first dose of .25 tomorrow. How soon should I ask my doctor to write a script for the .5 since there is a shortage?

Hi, I would personally ask about two weeks in advance. Perhaps it will offer your doctor enough time to substitute the .5 mg dose with a different semaglutide. You could also check with your pharmacy to see if they will be able to fill it or if there’s a pharmacy in your area that’s able to get the .5mg dose. In my case my doctor offered me ozempic as a substitute.

Yes, the same thing happened to me as well. The lower dosages were difficult to obtain even a year ago. My doctor was aware of the national shortage and so he switched me to ozempic at .50 mg and 1 mg and then had me return to Wegovy at the 1.7 mg dose. Perhaps that could be an option for you. I would definitely ask my doctor if there’s a substitution that could be made due to the shortage.

@@Greater_Expectations I've even asked if I could double up on the .25 mg. Or if I should even switch to Zepbound. They honestly haven't been very helpful at all in helping me figure out what to do.

@@cherylharris2369 If your medication is covered by your health insurance then I would reach out to the insurance company and ask if there are any substitutions due to the national Wegovy shortage that are covered under your plan and if so I would request the substitution from my doctor. If there’s no assistance from him or his medical staff you may need to consider finding another provider.

Hi, I am currently on Wegovy 2.4 mgs. I have completely adjusted to the medication and I have minimal side effects. I am down more than 55 pounds and I feel incredible. Thank you so much for asking!!🥰

Hey there… I absolutely HATE driving 😂 I passed so many pharmacies in my area!! It felt like an inconvenience. But yes, it would terrible to have to go to two different locations… I feel for ya!

Mr dr prescibed me mounjaro...I've been waiting weeks only to be denied despite having type 2 diabetes!! Now I have to go back to thr dr to stand on the scale yet again having no medication to help with the weightloss. She said we can talk about saxenda when I come in next. So irritating. I just feel pissed off. I have supposedly good insurance but they said my diabetes isn't bad enough...wth. I just feel frustrated

My heart goes out to you!! I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Prior authorizations are so tricky, I have an acquaintance and we have the SAME insurance plan and she had to jump through hoops to get Wegovy only for it not to be available due to the national shortage. It's really unfair, keep me posted and let me know if you eventually get mounjaro or if you start saxenda.

@@Greater_Expectations a lot of people don’t realize, it’s not always the insurance plan that prevents Wegovy or similar meds being covered but the employer doesn’t want to allow the coverage in their health insurance plans. I’ve recently read an article that some employers are dropping Wegovy cover because of the cost. It’s very unfortunate because I know people that could really benefit, not with just weight loss, but other related obesity conditions if they could just loss the weight with a push into the right direction. They have great jobs with good insurance but their employer does not include weight loss medication within their provided insurance plans. Shameful!!! 😡😡😡

doctors love to tell you we can talk about it at the next appt. like just call us for 15m and send the damn medication. during covid i sent photos of me on the scale to my doctor. theyre acting so serious about it

@Brainjoy01 oh goodness I am so sorry that was your experience! I am fortunate I had a doctor who was willing to just prescribe me the medication on my first visit.
