What the W and the 12-sign below stands for is out of my knowledge. It wasn‘t a official traffic sign, thats save. Maybe a local sign that directs to some district maybe or a Sign from the Wehrmacht. Amtskrug is a name for a pub. Krug means beer-mug in English. Amt means local authority. The add-name -Krug sometimes also -Schenke or -wirt is a typical name for a pub/tavern. In addition, a nearby location or an animal name (eg. Bärenschenke, Schlosskrug, Brunnenwirt, Löwenschenke or Dorfkrug or Adlerwirt) was often added. In this case, the mayor's office was probably nearby, which gave rise to the name Amtskrug.
