Yes he was an inspiration, he survived two world wars, he was part of the workers who built the Hindenburg zeppelin and he survived more than 3 years in a hole during Russian captivity and he even managed to come back home to Germany to my great-grandmother. I thank the Lord I was not in there shoes they had to fight without a choice. Sure there was day hard Nazis in the German military but not all of them were gun ho. To look at these men not much older then me and wonder how many where born again and where they are at now.
